Returns to original departure point
After pickup from a central Zurich location, sink back into the seat of your luxury coach and admire the gorgeous scenery as you travel along a scenic route to Lauterbrunnen via Interlaken. On arrival, take the world-renowned Wendermalp mountain railway through enticing natural tableaus of dense forests and vibrant meadows and arrive in Wengen, a charming village located at the foot of the dramatic Kleine Scheidegg mountain.

Opt to disembark at Wengen and explore the natural charm of the resort; simply take the next train to the mountain summit of Kleine Scheidegg afterwards and continue your independent exploration from there.

Continue to the 2,016-meter (6,762-foot) summit of the mountain and absorb sweeping vistas of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountain range; see the foreboding Eiger North Face up close and then decide how you would like to spend the remainder of your afternoon. Have more time exploring the mountain summit and its incredible views, or take the train down to Grindelwald, a mountain village nicknamed ‘Glacier Village’ due to its plethora of icy glaciers.

Reconvene with your guide and group in Grindelwald and climb aboard your awaiting coach for the return journey to Zurich.

Mountain beautiful but too long in Grindelwald

It was a very good trip. Blue sky and sun in February helped. The guide and coach driver were both first class as were the views and the train ride up the mountain. The stop in Interlaken however was a bit rushed. For us the only issue was the amount of time we spent in Grindelwald. A beautiful small town but perhaps only needed 2 hours max including lunch.

In this trip the guide will buy the train tickets and leave you alone. So it is not a tour anyone can do it on his expense. Viator should inform before booking.

Amazing trip to the Jungfrau Glacier...

Amazing trip to the Jungfrau Glacier Panaroma View at the snow village of Kline Schidegg. We enjoyed a special day in the Alps and had the picture perfect ski village experience. My only small recommendation is to make it clear when booking that you don't go all the way to the top as I expected when I booked the trip. In our case it all worked out great, however, on the day of the trip, we didn't realize we were not going all the way to the top. Perhaps adding a line in the day trip description clearly stating that this tour does not go to the top might be helpful for those planning a future trip. Otherwise, it was picture perfect.

The tour was amazing. We had a small group so our guide treated us well. We went up to the top and were very glad we did. It was cold outside up at the top but we loved it!

Overall, the tour was OK. The tour guide was pretty rude from the beginning. You have an opportunity to see views of the many lakes that are surrounding the Alps, but unless you are sitting on the right side of the bus and able to snap pictures within 5 seconds while the bus is speeding through, you will not be able to capture it. There is no option to capture it on the return trip because it is after dark. The tour company should consider at least a 10-15 minute stop to allow for tourists to take photos of the lake and mountains. If you are opting to do this tour without the Top of Europe option, you will have a chance to explore 3 different areas. The first stop is one step above snoozeville. The train only leaves once an hour, so after you force yourself to walk around the small town and take as many repetitive photos as possible, it is time to go! The next stop is where you will see the panoramic view of the mountains. It is BEAUTIFUL! There is a restaurant there, but be prepared to have to pay with your firstborn child because the prices are that outrageous! If you are interested in skiing, this is where you could take advantage of it because you will have plenty of time if you manage your time smartly. The final stop is another snoozeville. I opted to hike through the glacier town. Clearly, my idea of seeing glaciers was different from what this town had to offer. There are plenty of shops if you are interested in that. Plenty of restaurants. The town itself is pretty quiet. I'd recommend hiking through the town to waste time. You are given 6 hours of free time without a guide between the beginning of the tour to the final pick-up. I am glad that I got to see the Swiss Alps, but I would not recommend this tour and would not do it again.

The tour itself was fantastic and I would definitely recommend it. Scenery was majestic. We didn't go to the top of Jungfrau but still had a really good time taking photos at Kleine Scheidegg. Our tour guide Kib was very passionate about photo taking and tries his best to help us take photos. However he was very blunt and strict about the boundary of his duties. During our time on the bus, I heard other tourist ask questions but Kib would not answer them but instead asked whether they read the brochure and walked away. Also he refused to talk to me and my family once we reached Kleine Scheidegg. As Kib didn't inform us whether our guided tour ended once we reach Kleine Scheidegg, we went up to him and asked whether we have any other activities. To our surprise, he responded rather rudely and said and I quote why you come ask me? what you do now is none of my business. I was not very pleased with the response.

We were in Switzerland for 6 days and this was our favourite day trip. The Swiss Alps are beautiful, the train ride up from Interlaken to Kleine Scheidegg was very scenic. We did not go all the way to the top and the people that did complained about the clouds and low visibility. We did have one issue where all of us that stayed behind didn't know where we had to be picked up, and our guide Thomas wasn't reachable by phone due to the mountains. Note: if you're looking for a place to eat lunch once you take the train down to Grindelwald, the food is much cheaper.

We would recommend this trip to everyone that wants to experience the mountain life of the swiss alps. Despite the day being at first rainy and overcast is was great. Hopping off at Wengen we wandered around this beautiful village obviously a very busy place during the ski season but serene and charming when we went. We then continued up the railway to Kleine Shendegg we couldn't go any higher due to the weather changed trains and went down to the village of Grindwald which was beautiful. The scenery throughout is a sight that needs to be seen, every turn you make is picture perfect. During the bus ride our guide, Kid, was very good, giving lots of information, pointing out great spots to take pictures and taking pictures of each of us as a momento. A1 tour

Our tour guide KID was a totally AWESOME guide, he knew where all the great picture places were, while keeping everyone highly energized like himself. The scenery was awesome right from Interlaken to the top of Jungfrau and back down again. It was well worth the cost of going to the top, the views from there were exquisite. A totally awesome day we will not ever forget.Thank you KID for putting all your heart into your job. From Jim, party of four. October 25th. Tour.
