This day trip to Ljubljana and Bled starts with an early morning pickup from your Zagreb hotel. Your ride over to Ljubljana takes about an hour and a half, so relax in your air-conditioned minivan.

Once you reach Ljubljana, which is Slovenia’s capital city, your guide takes you through the old city center. Admire the architecture of old buildings in Baroque and Art Nouveau styles. See where locals buy food, and stop by the Ljubljanica River to see the Triple Bridge. Afterward, your guide gives you some time to journey through the city on your own. Now is also a great time to grab lunch (own expense).

Your next stop on this tour is Bled, a resort town in the foothills of the Julian Alps. Here your guide takes you to Lake Bled and the 11th-century Bled Castle. Please note the boat ride and entrance to the castle are not included in the tour price. Then, your guide sets you off on your own for some free time to go where you please in Bled.

Your tour ends with a drive back to your hotel in Zagreb.

The positives: Antonio was great. I enjoyed the tour of Ljubljana. The negatives, I was extremely disappointed that I was unable to go on the boat ride and 1 hour is not enough time to explore the Bled Castle.

This is an excellent place to visit if you happened to be in Zagreb and have a day to two to spare. Lake Bled is so beautiful with a little island somewhere in the middle of the lake. The boat ride to the island is not cheap but definitely worth the experience. The view from Ljubljana Castle is equally gorgeous. Try the cake from the cafe near the entrance of the castle. It's nice. Overall a very nice day trip from Zagreb

Wonderful day to Solvenia. It was a beautiful country. Good amount of time in Ljubljana (1.5 hour free time plus about 30 min tour with our guide). It was a good blend of free time and guided tour. Same with Bled. Had plenta ride (15 euro/person) to church in middle of lake. Could have used a little more time (about 15 min) there but did not feel overly rushed. Same with Castle Bled. Maybe 15 min more but still did not feel overly rushed. We had Dino as our guide who on the way to Slovenia gave great information on Croatia and Slovenia making the trip pass quickly. It is about 50/50 car and outside of car but well worth the venture into Slovenia. I will say we were lucky and had minimal trouble at the border but it was October so be prepared you may get back later (we were back about 7:15pm) and many have slightly less time due to boarder crossing. Again, worth it.

A full day trip to Slovenia that starts with Ljubljana, a compact, attractive & green capital city. A short guided tour gives you a feel for the city and it’s history before you get you own time to explore. Recommend the local sausage & beer. Then it’s off to The stunning Bled, a boat trip across the lake to the island before then off up to the Castle that towers over the valley & lake. Sights not to be missed and a place that will return to spend more time. Josef, our guide & driver for the day supplied the local knowledge and was helpful throughout. It was a bit cosy as a full tour but more than made up for with an enjoyable trip with good company.

We were part of a group of 8 that made the trip. While it took nearly 2 hours to get to the 1st stop and about 2 1/2 hours to get back to Zagreb from the last stop (Lake Bled) the time in between...some 7-8 hours...were very enjoyable. Our guide Fillip did a great job. He was friendly & informative.
