Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Meet your guide and group at the designated meeting point for your early evening departure, then make your way to the grounds of the United States Capitol. Follow the Presidential Inauguration route down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House, where you can take in the north side of the building and Lafayette Park, and continue to the Treasury Building, the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, and the Blair House.

Visit the World War II Memorial, then travel on foot to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, set at the edge of the Tidal Basin. This is the perfect spot to snap a photo of the Jefferson Memorial across the water. Tour the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and walk up the steps of the Lincoln Memorial for views back towards the US Capitol.

Make the final stop of the night at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial—your guide can assist in finding a name on the wall, as you hear the individual stories behind the war. This tour concludes at the Vietnam Memorial, close to public transport and National Mall sites.

Absolutely amazing tour! We had already visited several of the monuments during the day but seeing them lit up at night was breathtaking! Dean and Liz were excellent tour guides and provided so much history about each stop! I have limited mobility and they were super accommodating! The tour was definitely the highlight of the trip!

Great experience!! Steve is extremely knowledgeable about the city and sights and gave us a better insight into the town. Cold water and phone cables added to the ease of the trip. This 3 hour experience is well worth the price. Our driver Cory got us around safe and efficiently. Would highly recommend. Thank you Viator for a fabulous tour.

DC Elite Night Tour

The DC at night tour with Dustin as our guide was more than what I expected. The background history of the various sites added a richness that made the memorials more personal. Adequate time was given for photo ops and up close inspection. As we drove from one site to another various buildings were pointed out and interesting facts of their history shared. By far, one of the best tours i’ve been on

Interesting, comfortable way to maximize your time in DC

Steve (guide) and Lisa (driver) were excellent. Steve was very knowledgeable about the monuments and Washington, DC in general, having grown up and worked in the area forever, and having studied history in college. It was a cold and windy evening but Lisa provided a clean van with plenty of water and heat to keep us comfortable. I loved that this company serves small groups. There were three parties with a total of 7 tourists. The van would have had room for no more than 10. We had ample time at each of our stops. We were unable to stop at the Jefferson Memorial due to construction, but were able to drive by. And we were diverted at one point because of police activity. However, my reason for giving 4 rather than 5 stars was that we missed two sites that were listed on the advertisement (Iwo Jima and Korean War Memorials) without explanation. Despite that, I recommend this tour/company. The driver was safe. The guide was knowledgeable and personable. I learned a lot and got my money's worth. And I am left with the sense that, had I asked ahead of time to be sure to go to the missing memorials, they would have done so or explained why they were unable to.

DC has gotten dirty in the last 3 years since my last visit. The fencing around the WH and capitol look terrible. At least find a way to allow visitors to take a nice picture.
