Great value

The guide was very knowledgeable and professional. We enjoyed the places she took us. The gondola ride was just the right length.
Great guide and great insights

Great guide. We ended up only being 3 people on the tour. It was nice, you were able to ask questions and the guide had a great sense of humor. We ended with a gondola ride. You share the gondola with other people. Would highly recommend. Meeting point is San Marco Giardinetti waterbus stop. Next to royal garden. Easy to find.
Not what we paid for
, Aug 2021
First of all we couldn't find the place where we were supossed to meet. That street is a very long one and it didn't explain it well other than said start at the garden. We waited by the garden like it said. I finally went to ask a random vendor, he pointed us to a ticket office and the guy printed a ticket and said to go with a group that was milling around. We followed or should I say RAN behind a guide with about 40 people thru the streets to a gondola ride area. It was very busy and hard to keep up. It was chaos getting in the gondolas. The ride was fine, driver didn't say anything. Afterwards we got out and the tour guide was nowhere to be found. We didnt even get a narrated walking tour at all!!! I requested a partial refund and hope to get it as we did not get the tour we expected. Very disappointed.
No way to locate start point or guide
, Aug 2021
We arrived at the start point 20 minutes early. We searched for 30 minutes trying to find where to register and exchange our reservation. No signage anywhere. Tried to call but only got a recording in Italian which we could not understand. Start point said S Marco. That is a very large location. We never found our guide. Terrible instructions.

Acceptable for younger people

Informative Andrea our guide was nice. Earplug worked well made hearing the guide perfect. Long walk but tried to find shade. Gondola was impersonal and in line with other gondola. No sitting or place to rest for 1.5 hours

User beware: Only interested in taking your money, not in providing a service or experience.

The company is interested in your money. NOT in customer service. My vehicle broke down and I could not reach Venice in time for my trip. I contacted them in advance to see if I could switch the dates so they would receive money and I would have the experience. Should be win win right? Wrong...I received no response and the company still sent the automatic review of my experience email. I should have had buyer beware from other ratings. I’ve learned my lesson. Stay away and don’t book with this company!

A Tour Not to be Missed
, Feb 2020
This was the first time my wife and I were in Venice, a truly unique city with a history that was instrumental in shaping Europe from the period spanning the late medieval and modern eras. Since our arrival coincided with the Italian Government closing many tourist venues and annual events due to the number of coronavirus cases in Northern Italy Venice was very quiet, due to a steep decline in tourism, the overall effect being a monumental loss in all businesses dependend on tourists. One of the highlights of our trip, though, was the Venice Walking Tour and Gondola Ride. The company was very professional and accommodating. Our paticular tour comprised three couples, two from India and us (from America). Two Japanese women partcipated in the gondola ride segment only. The gondola ride is usually the last part of the tour, but the tour coordinator switched it to the beginninng. This turned out to be a plus, since the enjjoyable half-hour ride, in part on Venice's iconic Grand Canal, gave the group a chance to become comfortable with one another. The actual walking tour was fascinating, due in very large measure to our guide, Matteo. Matteo started his part of the tour by explaing the historical origins of Venice, first contextualizing the lagoon environment and the oddity of building, but improbably, a city-state that in many aspects made it the queen of the Adriatic for 11 centuries. As the tour progressed he explained in great detail the technology behind Venice's complex system of venetian wells. After that he tured our attention to the world of gondola construction, how it is a direct response to navigating the myriad canals that channel all through the city, and the techniques employed by the gondoliers who maneuvor this singular boats. Finally, as we walked along Matteo exlained the ever-increasing problematic of flooding and its baneful effects on Venice's buildings. We found the whole time fascinating. I do not hesitate to recommend the Venice Walking Tour and Gondola Ride to anybody visiting this wonderful city. By all means request Matteo as your tour guide.
Informative fun in Venice.

The tour guide explained lots of personal facts about Venetian history which was great. The gondolier was good fun and we had lots of chat with him.
