Departure Time

9:00 AM
After hotel pickup in Vancouver, travel north with your guide aboard a luxury coach toward Whistler. The route along Highway 99, the Sea-to-Sky corridor, offers plenty of gorgeous scenery that makes for a memorable journey.

Your route begins at sea level and tracks the shore along Howe Sound. Stop in Squamish and ride the Sea-to-Sky Gondola, a 90-minute aerial experience offering spectacular views of Howe Sound, coastal forests, and the Squamish River. At the Summit Lodge, 2,900 feet (885 meters) above sea level, relax and enjoy the views, perhaps with a beer or snack (own expense). Or, embark on one of the nearby trails, one of which includes a suspension bridge.

Your next stop along the Sea-to-Sky corridor is Brandywine Falls, situated between Garibaldi Heights and Whistler. Spend an hour here to watch the falls’ 230-foot (70-meter) drop, as well as Daisy Lake, from the large viewing platform.

Once you reach Whistler Village, enjoy four hours to explore this bustling village on your own. Choose from an array of activities and attractions, and feel free to ask your guide for recommendations. Your trip concludes with return transport to your original departure point.

Great Trip

Full day (8:30am - 8:00pm), but superb vistas on the way to/from Whistler, and great experience on the Whistler/Blackcomb gondolas. Great rapport with the bus driver.

Dan our guide was very nice. He informed us well how long to get to the next place. He gave us very interesting information about Canada, about the people, about the places we passed, etc. The gondola was very nice and the scenery beautuful. We waited to eat in Whistler. Delicious food! Then we had time to walk in Whistler. It is beautiful. My family loved the tour. We learned a lot with Dan and we saw beautiful places.

WOW! Great way to see the mountain sites around Vancouver

Although we expected this day-long trip to include some incredible mountain scenery (which it does), we did not expect that it would give us time to do the Whistler 360 tour (which it did). The short hikes to the waterfalls offer spectacular scenery and some great photos. Having enough time at the Whistler village to do the Whistler 360 tour (price not included in the tour package) was a real bonus and we'll talk about those Gondola rides and the walk across the suspension bridge for months to come. It was an amazing experience. Be prepared to walk. My wife and I had more than 20,000 steps for the day, but worth every one. If the clouds stay high (or you're blessed with a clear day), this will be an experience to remember.

If you had to do one day trip in Vancouver, this has to be it! We spent an amazing day soaking up the beautiful scenery and nature during this tour. The gondola ride was stunning and the waterfalls are breathtaking. We enjoyed a stroll in the rainforest and took amazing pics surrounding by the jaw dropping views. The day trip to Whistler was so scenic and entertaining. Our tour guide Bill was truly remarkable and informative. His passion to what he does is so contagious! We absolutely loved this trip. An incredible day. the weather was perfect not a cloud in the sky and of course that just made it all very special. We enjoyed amazing views of mountains, waterfalls, local life and the sea and even spotted a black bear. Picked up on time at our city centre hotel at 8.30 am by our driver and guide, John. He was brilliant. Provided us with insights, his local knowledge and lots of tips, Large comfortable coach with a wc. Great journey along Howe Sound then the Sea to Sky route to Squamish and Whistler. Provided with gondola tickets at Squamish that took us to the mountain tops overlooking the sea inlet and mountains. Here we had two hours and so walked an easy 2 km Panoramic route, well signed, through the forest to more incredible views. Highly recommend. Lots of opportunities to eat on top or at the base. From here we drove to Whistler via a short stop at a beautiful waterfall. We had 4 hours free time in Whistler. The coach dropped us off right in the village centre where its a short walk to the gondola that takes you up Whistler mountain to the Peak to Peak. We had ordered tickets online first so avoided the fairly long lines but its worth checking the weather forecasts first. The ride up is spectacular but once on top the views were just incredible. Plenty to do. Take the Peak to Peak gondola to Blackcomb mountain, walking routes, places to eat, or a short walk to a chairlift that takes you even higher up the mountain where there is a bridge built across a deep gully. Incredible views, a little chilly and lots of fresh air, but well worth it. We spent three hours getting up the mountain, exploring and then the return ride down. Enjoyed every minute, even spotted a black bear. Our remaining time was spent in the village, all very pleasant with bars, restaurants and shops. The return journey to Vancouver took 90 minutes with great views again of the sea and mountains. What an amazing day. Great excursion, a long day but so many wows ! Our driver John was excellent, so professional. Thank you.

Really great day out. Driver had a good sense of humour and we got to see and learn lots. I would recommend purchasing a ticket on the Peak 2 Peak gondola in Whistler - I had plenty of time for a sit down lunch, sightseeing on top of both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains and to wander through the village. Try cows icecream - you won't regret it!

Great experience overall. I really loved the Sea to Sky part. The only thing I would change would be the amount of time spent at Whistler Village - we had 4-5 hours by ourselves there. The shops were a giant maze, so most people were worried about getting lost if they wondered around too far. I would recommend trying to plan a few activities at Whistler in advance so you're not stuck walking in circles for over 4 hours. I had originally planned on doing the peak-to-peak tour, but it was closed for the season, so I ended up just sitting around for waiting pickup along with several other tourists. Beautiful place, just needs to be less time there or more structured activities offered.
