Departure Time

10:00 AM
Your full-day tour of the Sea-to-Sky corridor begins with morning pickup from select hotels in Vancouver and Richmond. A friendly guide will welcome you aboard the private coach and set off across Lion’s Gate Bridge into the rocky wilderness. Cruise along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, soaking up views of coastal mountains and Howe Sound speckled with unspoiled islands.

After a 40-minute drive (approx.), you’ll stop at the coastal community of Horseshoe Bay before continuing to Shannon Falls Provincial Park. Stretch your legs with a 10-minute trail walk through the forest until you reach the falls. From the lookout deck, watch BC’s third tallest waterfall cascade 1,100 feet (335 meters) into a chilly pool.

From this epic viewpoint, you’ll have 360-degree views of Howe Sound, Shannon Falls and the undulating mountain ranges that border the area. Enjoy some free time to take a trail walk, stroll across the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, fuel up at the Summit Restaurant (own expense) or get cozy in the lodge.

When you’ve seen enough at the top of the world, head into some of the earth’s bountiful caverns on a tour of the Britannia Mine Museum. Here, you’ll have the option to tour the mine, pan for gold, view historic exhibits, and enjoy educational displays before the leisurely ride back to your departure point.

Great tour

The sea to sky gondola was closed so instead we went to Grouse mountain. That would have been great except for the rain and cold. The grizzly bears were a nice touch. It was raining too hard for the lumberjack show. The rest of the day was rain free so we got lucky. Shannon falls was beautiful and the mine was very interesting. I would recommend this tour. Steve was our tour guide and he did a wonderful job

The drive and scenery really made this an awesome day out. Rene was the tour guide. We were picked up promptly from the hotel. The tour mine was fascinating and very informative. We had seen Shannon Falls the previous day and there wasn't much water. It rained the previous night so our second visit meant there was a lot more flowing water. The Gondola (sea to sky) is currently not operational so they gave us Grouse Mountain instead. Grouse Mountain is definitely worth a visit. We added on the Wind of the Eye visit on Grouse Mountain. Rene ensured we had enough time to complete this activity. Overall, money well spent. Good job ,Rene!

Shannon Falls was a beautiful sight. Going up the gondola have you gorgeous views of the glacial mountains. The only part that was just okay was the britannica mine. I didn’t have time to stifle through for treasure but I did get some good pictures. Howe Sound is just amazing:)

We wish we had more time to explore many of the sites we visited but it was great to get a good sense of different areas to explore next time on our own. Also, Kaitlyn, our tour guide was awesome.

Excellent guide

This is an awesome tour. We have two kids, one 3 years old, and both loved it. They even provided a car seat for my 3 year old. The guide was very informative and friendly. Even though we only had a certain amount of time at each stop, we never felt rushed. Joe our guide asked everyone in the morning if we were hungry and made an extra stop so we could get a quick breakfast. At the end of the tour, Joe even gave us suggestions of where to eat in the area.

An excellent tour from start to finish. Our guide was Joe. The first things he did was ask if anyone was hungry and made an extra stop for us to get a quick breakfast. He was super informative and friendly. Even though we only had a specific amount of time at each stop, we never felt rushed. Shannon falls and the gondola ride are really cool. The mine tour at the end was very informative and fun. It starts with a train ride into the mine, which both my kids loved.

A Great Day Trip! We had a day to spend in Vancouver prior to boarding our cruise ship. We had been to Vancouver several times and wanted to visit the surrounding area. Paula was our driver/guide. She was very good with her facts and had a great sense of humor. She is from the Vancouver area and took great pride in sharing her knowledge with us. The Britannia Mine tour was quite interesting as was the visit to the Shannon Falls area. We were able to view Stanley Park, The harbor bridge and get the inside scoop on the elite homes in the area. The best part was the AWESOM gondola ride up the mountain. We enjoyed on our own lunch at the restaurant on top and took tons of photos. The views were spectacular!!! The suspension bridge was beautiful to look at but I didn't dare the walk across it...all though several adventurous people in our group loved it. I highly recommend this tour, However it may not be a good choice for anyone with mobility issues due to some hilly and uneven walking areas. The gondola aides did assist people using canes and walkers.

This trip was very good. We got picked up at the hotel - the tour guide was very prompt. The bus was small and comfortable with plenty of leg room. Megan was our tour guide and she was very knowledgable and friendly. First we went to Horseshoe Bay for a photo stop and time for coffee. Next stop is Shannon Falls - this is very beautiful but be prepared to not have much time there. We had about 20 minutes. Next we went to the gondola - you go up as a group and have about 2 hours. This was plenty to get some lunch at the restaurant at the top and explore. There are some easy walking trails and a small suspension bridge and small wildlife viewing opportunities. Final stop is the mining museum - which was really interesting. You go on a small train into the mines which was fun and then get a demonstration of what life was like in the mines. Then back to downtown Vancouver - it was good as they split us up onto tow buses back in Vancouver to get us back to our hotels quicker.
