Overview

Learn about the flavors and ingredients of Aztec, Mayan and Mexican cuisine on this intimate tour in a local’s home. Under the tutelage of your host, prepare a 3-course meal—soup, main, and dessert—along with homemade salsa and tortillas. You’ll also sample and learn the proper way to taste mezcal. Afterward, share the meal you’ve prepared with your hosts and new amigos.

Great food and company!

We were taught how to make a full Mexican meal with salsas and my favorite guacamole— which was a little different from what I am used to but it was awesome. We also made pork pastor and I am not a big pork person but the meat was so tender and the marinade really transformed the pork. They made us feel like we were a part of their family. Class was great! Lily was delightful! Only issue was meeting up with Alex( the son). We weren’t sure who to look for! But he found us! All in all, a great experience! Recommend it!

Amazing Mexican Authentic Experince

My husband and I took Lily's class to learn more about Mexican authentic cuisine. We own a cooking school and we like to take classes everywhere we travel. This was an amazing experience. The chef was very knowledgeable about all the subjects to do with the foods we were about explore. We started with a delicious soup called "Sopa de Milpa" followed with Tacos, Quesadillas made with tortillas from scratch. The salsa for the tacos was so flavorful since we roasted al the ingredients in a hot comal. I'm so happy to bring all these tricks and secrets of an authentic Mexican cuisine to all our students back home.
