Pristine water, adventurous, with an excellent tour guide

Omar was a fantastic guide. Very professional and easy going. My teen was a little nervous at first (it was a little cloudy and windy when we started), by the end she was smiling and having a good time. Omar was confident, and his abilities on the sailboat put her at ease. The water was the most beautiful we've ever seen. More pristine and colorful than any of the dozen cenotes we visited on our trip. We've heard of the crocodiles. We did not see any and we were comfy swimming in the crystal clear water near the boat. You're always welcome to stay on board as well. Omar (our guide) stayed on board the whole time to keep an eye on us and cut some fresh fruit for us to munch on. Well worth the drive. I recommend staying overnight in Bacalar. We traveled from Puerto Aventuras via rental car and stayed two nights. Next time, we will stay a week in Bacalar. Beautiful spot. Lovely restaurants and atmosphere.
