City Sightseeing Toledo Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour

Excellent tour, but not very much through the city as streets are too narrow, most of the 55 mins journey was looking onto the city, so beautiful.....the walking tour was also very informative as was the tour of the stunning Cathedral..... all over very good value.

We normally do this type of tour in most cities for orientation of city, some history, which was good here, and transportation to popular sites, but this poor management of buses and driver ruined our day. We ended up waiting at one pickup point so long my husband decided to walk the long distance to the historical site, then my kids and walked to another pickup to be told the other was closed today and next one was in 5 min. 20 min. later after switching and waiting for bus, we got on and then when at our next to stop to meet my husband, from our up top seats, the driver barely stopped and we could not get off in time and despite my begging to get us off with my husband sitting on bench at the stop, the driver said no and that next stop was close. The next stop was not close and I couldn't find a taxi so my husband had to meet us and we never saw the many attactions at the previous main stop. What a waste of time, source of frustration and a limited view of the beautiful attractions of Toledo because of this tour company.

I bought two Toledo hop on & hop off tickets which included Alkasaz entrance and Cathedral guided tour. However, the tour operator told me my viator tickets did not include them. They gave just bus tickets to me. They were just 30 euros for two. Actually I paid 41 euros to viator. I wanted to claim about my tickets. However, I could not find any email address at Viatot web site. I called Viator but could not contact any representatives. Just the automated voice. I can not have any way to get refunded the price difference. I urge Viator to take any actions about my claims.

The hop on hop off bus worked out great the driver was especially good at making a couple of photo stops and waiting for us to get back on the bus so we didn't have to wait 20 minutes or so for the next bus when we only wanted to take a quick few pictures. The commentary on the bus worked well too, except when a detour had to be made because of closed roads. The Alcazar Museum guide was excellent and when we had questions, he took the time to explain. We enjoyed our free glass of wine and tapa at the end of our tour!

It is a good option but you have to combine it with another tour, because this hop on hop off is mostly to see outside the city, not the area that is inside the wall. It goes inside the walls just a few points, because it is narrow.

While this tour didn't go into the inner city we got amazing views as we toured around the city and saw all of the vistas, we were able to hop off right by the escalator that took us up to the city where were able to walk around, It was late October and quite chilly so make sure you have a scarf and jacket.

Well worth doing. There is a short stop where you can get off the bus to take amazing pics of Toledo. On a practical level its also a great way to get back to the train station at the end of the day.

Essentially a walking tour as the centre of the old city doesn't take buses. It pays to pre study some history as Toledo had a critical role in the assimilation of much western knowledge. Worth it just to see El Entierro del Conde de Orgaz by El Greco.

It was very handy, but not knowing when it arrives was annoying. More so when you are waiting and the tempratures are realy high even in the shadow. Very kind chauffeur, he tried to help me selling the extra ticket I had left.
