Departure Time

7:15 AM
Board an air-conditioned coach at your central Tel Aviv hotel for your day trip to Old and New Jerusalem, located around 1.5 hours away.

En route, listen as your guide charts Jerusalem’s tangled past. Hear about its 3,000-year-old history, and how the city has been held sacred by the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths since the biblical era.

Visit the Mount of Olives for splendid views over the walled Old City, including the golden Dome of the Rock at the Temple of the Mount. Then, drive along the Kidron Valley past the Garden of Gethsemane, Dormition Abbey and other sites before entering the Old City through the Zion Gate.

Follow the twisting alleyways of the Armenian Quarter to the Jewish Quarter, and pass the Byzantine Cardo, the city’s main thoroughfare during Byzantine times. See the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), where thousands of Jewish worshippers gather, and enter the Christian quarter to trace some of the route taken by Jesus to his crucifixion along the Via Dolorosa.

View some of the Stations of Cross  (no. 5-14) on route to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the site of Calvary, the place of Jesus' crucifixion. Then, pass through the Jewish Marketplace and Jaffa Gate and drive to New Jerusalem to the Holocaust Museum, a striking building dedicated to the six million and more victims of the Holocaust of WWII.

Head inside to take in the artifacts and testimonies set out in the galleries, and end your explorations at the deeply poignant Hall of Names, where biographies of the victims are held.

Afterward, your tour finishes with a drop-off at your Tel Aviv hotel.

Please note: the Holocaust Museum is closed on Fridays, Saturdays and Jewish holidays. On these days, your visit here will be replaced by a visit to Mount Zion and the Gethsemane church.

Jerusalem Tour Well Organised

, Mar 2020
I enjoyed the trip to Jerusalem and the whole trip was well organised and managed. My only criticism was the lack of time in Yad Vashem. One hour was not enough, or it would be doable if the visit was guided but I ran out of time half way which was a real shame.

Great for a quick tour... get ready for a long stay at Holocaust museum

Was great given I only had time for a short trip. Wonderful guide— knowledgeable and engaging. Felt a little rushed in Jerusalem and spent way, way too long at the Holocaust museum.

Super tour

The tour was pretty good and very complete, the guide was amazing and you totally noticed that she knows what she’s talking about. The only down for me was just when you have to go to a souvenir store to buy things, of course no one is obligated to buy, but it’s a bit annoying. Guess it’s “normal” in this touristic tours...

Okay

While the sites on the tour were beautiful, the tour guide was less personable than many others I’ve had via Viator. In addition, some of the people on our tour decided to be baptized at the river Jordan but were not appropriately informed by the tour guide that there was no preacher/priest to baptize them unless one travels with you. Thankfully a preacher who was with another group agreed to baptize them and all turned out fine. Lastly, when it came time for drop off, instead of being dropped off at my hotel (like on other tours I’ve been on), I was dropped off several streets away to walk home by myself in the dark. If I had been traveling with a companion, this wouldn’t have bothered me but I thought it was slightly inconsiderate of my safety as a solo traveler. Overall, the tour was okay but I would highly recommend the Jerusalem tour instead.

Exceptional

Koby was a knowledgeable and accommodating guide. The shop he took us to was of low quality and I felt as though I was obligated to buy something. I did not. I would have preferred not feeling like it was required to go the the restaurant that was chosen. An option to skip lunch would have been appreciated

An interesting trip to old noisy Jerusalem, particularly interesting to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Western wall. Interesting and very moving to visit the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, Yad Vashem, in new Jerusalem. A very nice and knowledeable guide.

A good first experience

Our guide was very knowledgeable with 35 years of experience. He added insight at each tour stop to make the material more relatable. I wish the timeline had included more time for exploring and shopping not just at a pre-selected single store with high-pressure sales tactics. Elvis-themed coffee stop at the beginning was an unnecessary waste of time.
