6:40 AM
Depart your central Tel Aviv hotel by air-conditioned coach and travel to Nazareth in the Galilee region. On route, hear tales of the city, known as the childhood home of Jesus, and its important role in the Christian faith.

On arrival, visit some of Nazareth’s key religious sites. See the Church of the Annunciation, where the Angel Gabriel is said to have spoken to the Virgin Mary, and see the Church of St Joseph, believed to stand on the site of Joseph’s carpentry workshop.

Continue through the village of Kafer Kana, identified as the site of Cana where Jesus performed the miracle of wine, and arrive at the Sea of Galilee, Israel’s biggest freshwater lake and the setting of many biblical tales.

Pass the Church of the Multiplication, the believed location of the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000, and explore Capernaum on the shores of the Sea. View the ruins of the synagogue that stood where Jesus taught and see the modern church that sits over St Peter’s house, where Jesus is believed to have stayed.

Pass through the waterfront city of Tiberias and arrive in Yardenit – a sacred baptism site on the Jordan River. Admire this idyllic spot, and if you wish, take part in a Christian baptism ceremony.

On your return, enjoy beautiful views of Mt Tabor, known to Christians as the Mount of Transfiguration, before your tour ends in Tel Aviv.

Great guide, disappointing sites
Bryan_M
, Jun 2022
Dan was a very knowledgeable guide, but he had his hands full trying to manage such a large group of about 40. There were just too many people and too many stops (especially shopping) on this tour, and no site was particularly interesting or scenic except perhaps the Sea of Galilee. I cannot recommend this tour.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
Sorry Bryan that you didnot feel this was a memorable tour experience to cherish. The cradle of Christianity sites around the Sea of Galilee are a very popular tour . Dan sure is worthy of the compliments for his skilled tour management and enlightening commentary provided.

We did the tour with Dorit and she was lovely! My kids (11 and 9yo) were very interested in everything. She is very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and made it interesting enough so my kids did not complain abou a 12h tour.

Thanks for this review of your satisfaction with our Guide Dorit. She deserves such feedback for her efforts.Great that your children have experienced a memorable and enlightening day with Bein Harim Israel

Great Tour

I found the whole tour very interesting and the guide(s) very knowledgeable and friendly. The sites were great, of course, I anticipated that, but it didn’t occur to me that I would learn so much about them and Israel in general from the guides. I wasn’t expecting that.

Full day trip around Christian holy sites. A wonderful experience for those interested in the beginning of Christianity and an opportunity to walk in the River Jordan and even get baptised with full immersion. Our guide Udi was very knowledgeable with excellent English.

Thanks so much for this review of your tour and guide Udi.He is worthy of your favorable compliments for his efforts, language skills and interesting commentary.Happy this was a tour experience to cherish.

Nice but language barrier
Susan_F
, Jun 2022
Most of the trip was in Spanish so i felt we missed a lot. Our tour guide tried to include us as much as he could. He took the time to explain Capernaum and the closeness to Jesus so we enjoyed that the most.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
Dear Susan, our tours can indeed sometimes be bilingual(a logistic constraint, however much we do try and avoid this). We do clearly state that some tours are conducted in 2 languages. We will reitterate to guides that there has to be an equilibrium on ths matter as much as is possible. Happy to read the region you visited left a lasting impression to cherish.

Tour guide was terrible
Mirielly_L
, Jun 2022
The tour guide was extremely rude and was not cooperative nor was he any helpful. When we tried to work with him he said it was ok to provide bad reviews and he really did not care. You should fire him immediately.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
This is a most distressing post.We are asuming you have contacted us by email so this matter can be fully investigated. as to whom you are refering to and when this tour took pace..This is definitely not the standard we want to have of our tours and guides.

Nice Tour

Great trip to some of the holiest places in Israel. This tour was one of the larger ones with over 40 people but the guide Avivi did a good job keeping the group together and moving through the sites, even when having to explain in multiple languages.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
SO happy to read you had a good experience on this tour with Avi, who guided multilingually. He is highly skilled and it is clear porovided a rich and enlightening tour. Duo language tours are not the norm but a constraint we deal with sometimes.

Worst customer service
Anna_S
, May 2022
We were unable to take the tour as our flight changed. Tried to get a refund and was only given 75% back. Buyer beware, they say when you book that you can cancel but fail to tell you not 100%.
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Dear Anna, We are sorry you have experienced this. The cancellation policy is very clear about the time factor within which one can cancel and get a full refund after the deduction of fees. Maybe this is the reason once proof of flight change - delay provided made you eligible for a refund. You should check the policy regarding credit card fees involved and currency exchange rates as well. Kindly write to customer service with document proof that only 75% was refunded. Sincerely, Bein Harim team

Great trip! Hotel pick up was on time and took us in a small bus to a big bus - there were 25 of us on the tour and we had a full 52 seater coach - loads of room!! Tour guides were excellent and the trip was very informative. Lunch - you don’t get a choice as you are taken to St Peters restaurant which is a fixed price (around £20 pp). We loved the food...you get a choice of freshly cooked meat and then help yourself to the salad bar which was all fresh and full over flavour!

An experience to remember
Jacqueline_V
, Feb 2020
Highlight of the holiday. The guide was really good giving an thorough explanation of everything, I learnt more on this trip than I did in 5 years at school doing RE ! The Sea of Galilee was a particular highlight especially as we went to Capernaum to see the 4th Century synagogue. Another experience was going to the River Jordan where people were being baptised as we watched, we had quite a bit of time here which was just as well as the scenery was beautiful. The coach was in good order, clean with a good sound system so we could hear the guide clearly. The only tip I would give is to take your own lunch (which we did) as the only place to stop is at St Peters Restaurant on the Sea of Galilee and they charge 80 shekels for lunch per person and there is no other option.

Our guide Alana was really knowledgable and gave just the right amount of information. She had a lovely relaxed personality which made our tour all the more enjoyable. The only thing I wish I could have done extra was to take a boat on the Sea of Galilee instead of lunch but there were no boats where we stopped so I made do with a paddle
