Soak in the scenery en route and hear about Bethlehem’s central role in Christianity believed to be the birthplace of Jesus.

On arrival, hop out of your coach and start your visit at the revered UNESCO-listed Church of the Nativity, thought to stand on the site of the holy birth and one of the world’s oldest surviving Christian churches. See where Jesus was laid down after his birth and take a stroll around Manger Square, the center of religious activity in the city.

See the Mosque of Oman as your guide explains its importance to the many Muslims who live in Bethlehem.

Finally, drive to the Shepherd Fields, the pastures forever identified with the shepherds who gazed up at the star of the Nativity while watching their flocks.

After visiting this biblical site, drive on to Jerusalem. Your tour finishes here, leaving you free to explore the ancient city independently or get directions from your guide to travel back to Tel Aviv on your own.

Worst tour guide ever!
, Oct 2019
Jacob was just awful. He had no problem giving his personal and political opinions on anything and everything. Apparently doesn't like Israel - made that very well know. Being Jewish most of what he said was offensive (people there make 500 while Israelis make 2000; Israel steal their water; thought the notes in the caves were too similar to those that you put in the Western Wall and was offended by it; told us Catholics not treated well and all leaving the area; can't wait for a wall to be built to separate the Palestinians from the Jews) Also, it took 4 buses to complete our trip (our first bus was late) Jacob also didn't want us to wait in line in the church and told us to skip it. Our last stop they dropped us off at a cheesy "Jonathan's Store" souvenir shop even though there were other stores in the area. Didn't find him or the tour inspiring at all. What a waste of time and money! Maybe the company should hire guides that aren't anti-semitic.
Not professional driver
, Jul 2019
I would like to say thank you to the local guide, the lady from Bethlehem that spoke a lot of languages and translated every interesting details in English, Spanish and France and had a very accurate time management. I just have to share that I did’t appreciate that at the end of the tour every participant had to spent time in a partner shop where a lot of sellers tried to convince you to buy something to support the Palestinian people. Really embarrassing and time consuming situation that didn’t match with the purpose of our tour. If I want to support Palestinan people, I prefer to make a private donation, I don’t want to make it during a tour. But there’s something more that I really didn’t like. The behavior of the driver that brought the group through the boarder between Israel and Palestina: he was really sarcastic and stupid with the soldier during bus inspection and according to me this behavior could be really dangerous for our group. Additionally, I didn’t like that the driver tried to convince our group to change program at the end of the tour and suggested to go to a place for lunch (probably a friend of him) instead to the Jaffa gate (the place where the tour ended). A really not professional behavior. Please, pay attention about the service that the local agency provide to the customers.

READ THE FINE PRINT...sure they pick you up at your hotel in Tel Aviv and that is nice, but don't just assume that they will deliver you back there! Without a word, I was totally abandoned in front of a hotel in Jerusalem. I repeatedly asked the driver and the guide about transportation back to Tel Aviv and none had an answer beyond, I am just the driver and I don't know your arrangements... They knew full well that it was up to me to get myself back to Tel Aviv...fortunately, I am not thrown by adventure. I walked to the tram station. People were helpful and pointed me in the right direction. I took the tram to the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem and there, for about 16 Shekels less than 5, I were driven to the bus terminal in Tel Aviv, where I were totally shellacked with a 50 Shekels cab ride to my hotel about 18 minutes away! The tour was very interesting although I was whisked through everything fairly quickly, similar to being on a conveyer belt. The guide was exceptional in Palestine. IF Viator had made it very clear that the trip was a one-way to Jerusalem, I would have probably not gone. Life is an adventure and I am up for all, but probably not when I have been in a foreign country for less than 24 hours. Again, READ THE FINE PRINT!

Impressive and heart-wrenching at the same time, as the tour leads you through the border between Israel and Palestine. A shared history and a divided present time. The tour was very informative, even for me, being an atheist. Go and see it! Thanks to lovely Osama who picked us up behind the border and introduced us to Bethlehem and Palestine!

Excellent exploration of three main sites in Bethlehem and usefully dropped off in Jerusalem to make your own way back I recommend the train as it goes through some epic countryside.

It was just ok. Nothing spectacular about the tour. Its just a pretty good way to get around places. Less time spent on each destination except the gift shops that they want you to spend your money on (typical tourist trap). I did three consecutive days with this company and its all the same.

The half day tour was exciting and the tour guides, especialy the Palestinian guides were excellent. To be commened. The only issues were it was running very late and they forced a certain gift shop and restaurant upon the group. It was as if they were getting a cut of the service. They should have put a time limit on the gift shop and ended the tour immediately after, not forced the restaurant. Not many wanted to go.

Dont forgot you passport, you definitely need it as you are entering an Arab city. This was another excellent trip with "Isaac" (Zahi Shaked), and a Palestinian guide, both were very knowledgable and friendly. They took us around Bethlehem, including the lactation grotto church and church of the nativity. They provided local food at a reasonable cost, which we ate nearby and had a chance to buy the locally crafted figures made from the olive trees growing in the picturesque hilly landscape around Bethlehem. This gives you an idea of how the shepherds lived during Jesus's birth and the part they played in communicating the news of the birth of Jesus. As this is a half day tour, you will be dropped off in Jerusalem, so you have to make your own way back to you accomodation.

This tour is unusual in starting in Tel Aviv and ending in Jerusalem. This is not stated in the initial information and was the reason I booked. Another member of our party, an Australian who had also booked through Viator was given a taxi back. I think the itinerary should be clarified as a taxi trip costs 320 shekels.
