This wine tasting tour was a great experience. The tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about Georgian wines and history. My favorite part of the day was the supra at the final winery. Great food, wine, and company!

Full of Surprises

We chose the 2 day tour option. Day 1 was a small group tour and Day 2 was a private one. We enjoyed Day 1 a lot but we have doubts about the necessity of the 2nd day. The Giuaani winery was very impressive and we tasted a great selection of wine. Bodbe Monastery was very impressive and we have no regrets in visiting there. I just hoped the guide (the driver at the same time) had more to say about the historical background of the monastery. We really loved the Supra and enjoyed drinking wine with Mr Shota Grigorievich. That was a super arrangement. We stayed in a hotel in Telavi which was a bit 'in the middle of nowhere'. For us the only significant activity of Day2 was the visit to the Biodynamic wine tasting. Other spots were not that remarkable. Daviti from Evatour was our operator and he was very attentive to every detail. He supported us greatly. Kakheti is a great region, make sure you visit once in your life. I must have some suggestions: - It could be better if the accommodation is in Sighnaghi or Tsinandali in a guesthouse. - Supra could have been a bit longer. We felt we were in a rush - The itinerary of 2nd day should have been described in more detail.

One of the BEST tours I have ever been on!

Ana and Daviti treat you like warm friends and are so excited to share their wonderful country with you! I picked this tour because it blended wine, culture, and sight seeing---and it delivered! We had wine at 3-4 different places, made bread the local way with our own hands, had a delicious lunch together from a fresh stand, strolled through many amazing sights, climbed towers, and we enjoyed every single minute of it! The BEST part was when we went to a local home for dinner. The man was so excited to show us his vineyard, his traditional wine making process, beautiful flowers, and enjoyed dinner together. Dinner was an extra cost of 40 lari ($14usd) but was so incredibly worth it for the amazing experiences of home cooked Georgian food and cheers with locals through out the evening. Do plan for a full day and evening, and avoid making evening plans so you can fully enjoy the experience. I would absolutely vote to do this tour again any day! Ana and Daviti were amazing guides who made you feel part of the family!!! :-)

Perfect day in Kakheti!

We really enjoyed our wine tour by Evatours! Although I'd say it was more like wine (and chacha) drinking tour than tasting.. Highlights were lunch with local family (incl. wine and chacha tasting) and the beautiful town of Sighnagi. Our driver/guide was nice and made couple of extra stops I think so we were able to see how local bread and chacha was made.
