Fabio was good guide. Showed a few “hidden” areas of Taormina that were interesting. After walking tour met our driver with a large van (9passenger). There were 4 of us. I assumed to not be crowded due to Covid restrictions. However, I was disappointed we couldn’t go to Madonna Della Rocca on the way to Castlemola, van too big to go in. Views from Castlemola were awesome. Then to Giardini Naxos where we had the “food option”. A small, non-descript cafe. We sat outside at table for 4, with a tall “privacy” hedge blocking all view or the bay. Typical Sicilian charcuterie & wine. It was just ok. There was no further tour or seaside walk. Back in the van. I would have gladly passed on the food to see more of the seaside view

We are glad that you enjoyed the tour with one of the most excellent guides of our region who toured with you 2 hours more than the usual timing of our tour. You took 2 tours with us, thank you, and mentioned that the car was too small for the tour of Etna wineries (7-seater) and too big for the tour of Taormina (9-seater). Unfortunately, we don't have a 8-seater car in our park. The tour does not include the visit of Madonna Della Rocca, but we always strive to meet clients wishes, and your guide offered you to park near Madonna Della Rocca and walk 20 meters to see it, but you said you would prefer to proceed to Castelmola without visiting Madonna Della Rocca. We offer food and wine tasting at a local wine restaurant by the sea that specializes in hand-picked food and wines of the region, not a chain restaurant, the concept is different - to let the travelers try the taste of the local food and wines of Sicily. We are sorry that you misunderstood the description of the tour. We look forward to seeing you in Sicily again. Kind regards, Nadia

The cost of the tour was not worth the money. There were four of us. The car was small. We had a taxi driver take us around in the next town we visited and the cost was far much less. Taormina was beautiful, but the cost was way to high for this tour given.

Fun Walking through Taormina and Castelmola

Marco met us at our vacation rental. He quickly showed us the neighborhood where we were staying in the old town. He pointed out some of the eateries, what to order there, the novelty shops, etc. He took us to buildings that would have no exterior visual appeal, where, upon entry, were absolutely stunning. His English is quite good. He gave us lots of history, mythological lore and fun narratives. He had secured a seasoned driver to take us up the narrow, snaky curves to ascend to Castelmola. It is a treasure of a small town with great views. We also sampled almond wine in a risqué bar. Quite fun. We did not do the food and wine tasting option. Overall, a fun morning and early afternoon with a Marco.

Our guide, Marco, was excellent! He showed us everything in both cities. His knowledge of his country was incredible. Often he was able to get us off the usual tourist paths and back into areas of Taormina and Castelmola that only a native would know of. I would give this tour my highest recommendation.

Amazing Tour of Taormina and Castelmola

This could not have been a better experience. The tour company did a really good job of providing us information before we arrived in port so we could easily find our driver, Carmelo. Carmelo gave us a lot of helpful information about Sicily, had local snacks (including fresh cherries from his own trees), and made us feel completely relaxed and welcome. After arriving in Taormina, we met our guide, Josey, and she gave us the most indepth and tailored tour of Taormina and Castelmola. This tour sets the bar for all excursions in the future and will be hard to beat. Highly recommend others to take this tour, and absolutely recommend paying the 10 euros to see the Greek Theater...the view and stories behind this relic are unbeatable.

We were there on a Sunday and most places were closed, but our tour guide was excellent. He accommodated our needs and was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He really went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and saw as much as possible. Taormina is a must. Beautiful town, small shops, great to walk around. He took us to Savoca, where the movie, Godfather was filmed. Beautiful scenery had a gelato and walked around. You can visit the church on the top of the mountain.

Very nice man showed us around the resort towns and we added the food and wine option. We got a very nice sample platter of food and cappuccino. No wine was available and you are able to sample almond wine in castlemora without an added fee. All in all it was a very nice day and I would recommend it
