This activity will end right where it started.Pick-up service is possible from selected hotels only. If you don't choose any of the selected hotels, your meeting point is the main meeting point for the tour - the tourist bus terminal in front of Terminal F restaurant and SPLIT red letters photo sign.
Make an early start with an early morning pick-up from select hotels in central Split and soak up the scenery on the journey to Plitvice. On arrival at the Plitvice Lakes National Park, follow your guide on a thrilling hike along the boardwalks, stopping to take photos of the park’s glittering lakes, cascading waterfalls, and dramatic canyons.

Start with a walk around the Upper Lakes (Gornja Jezera), where you can get up close to native wildlife and enjoy dazzling views over the lakes. Then, hop aboard a sightseeing boat for a cruise around the Lower Lakes (Donja Jezera) and pass by the awe-inspiring Veliki Slap waterfall, which towers over 255 feet (78 meters).

Finally, tuck into a tasty Croatian-style lunch at a local restaurant (optional; own expense) before hopping back in the minivan and setting out on the return journey. End your tour with drop-off at your hotel.

Good tour. Better than expected. Had visited the Krka NP a day prior, and this park was better IMO. Good restaurant after the park too. Elena and Dado led the tour with ease and professionalism. I recommend this tour for anyone interested in national parks.

The national Park was beautiful, well protected and well organized. The trip, however I would not recommend for anyone, unless you enjoy standing in line for most of your day and paying numerous hidden fees. We showed up in the morning at the departure point to find out that the national park fee was an exclusion. And that information was included as part of the “exclusions” listed on the Viator site. Unfortunately, no representatives from Viator, nor the tour operator could find what those costs were and as the conversations went on, the fees took on the appearance of being negotiable. After several minutes of expressing our frustration and having no “clear” information on fees, they dropped from 250 Kuna for all 6 of us, to 100 Kuna for children (under 18) and 150 Kuna for students. There is also no description of your means of travel nor any sense of what the day’s schedule looks like. You should know, if leaving from Split, that you will be on a passenger bus with 50 other people, and that the day will likely be in the 12-13 hour timeframe which includes a 3.5 hour bus trip on either end. Our tour guide was phenomenal, and patient beyond words. The scenery, among the most beautiful you will find. But I would highly recommend you rent a car, go early, and avoid spending 60% of your day standing in long lines as the other 20,000 humans elbow their way to the prime photo locations. Go early, to beat the heat, go small to avoid the cumbersome groups, and go on your own to avoid the exorbitant and unnecessary costs.

Hello, thank you for your honest feedback. Information that entry tickets to the National Park are not included in the tour price is clearly stated in several places of the listed tour (during your booking process and in the section Before you go, on your voucher). Prices are listed in your voucher and our representatives have shown you this information on your tour ticket and on the official site of the National Park. Prices given in the morning were not negotiated, these are official prices from the National Park and everybody can see that information since it is a public site. As a tourist agency, we have a ticket reservation for the National Park so our guests don’t need to wait long lines to enter the Park. The price for adults in June is 250 HRK, for students 200 HRK, and for children 100 HRK (with our reservation). All prices are clearly stated on your voucher and on the official site of Plitvice lakes National Park. Every morning we have two representatives from our agency at the meeting point. They give all the necessary information to our guests before boarding and going on a trip. We had another 44 passengers on the tour (most of them booked at Viator) and all guests had clear information that they need to pay the entry ticket to the National Park. Also, all information about the tour and the tour itinerary are visible before you book your tour. I am sorry you missed a tour description, tour itinerary, and all information given before you purchase our tour. Hope you still enjoyed the beauty of Croatia’s most famous National Park and managed to have a quality time with your family. Kind regards from the entire Sugaman team

This was the perfect day. It is a long journey from Split, but so worth it. Our guide Petar was amazing, he was so knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts about Croatia along the way. He stayed with the group in the park and had planned the best route for us. We visited a lovely restaurant for lunch and the food was so good. We had the best day and Petar even helped us plan the route to take on a boat trip and made sure we had plenty of photos to remember the day. Thanks for a great day 😊

Our tour guide, Petar, was fantastic! He was very funny and very knowledgable - the 3-hour journey to the park flew by because he was telling us interesting stories about Croatia, and pointing out important landmarks. The park itself is incredible, definitely worth a visit! Visiting in May is a great idea as the park isn’t too busy and the weather is amazing. The natural beauty of the place is astounding. The restaurant stop is great too! Highly recommend.

This trip was absolutely incredible. The park is so beautiful and a must see. The 3 hour bus ride to get there was a bit off putting but it actually didn't feel that long due to comfort break and also the amazing tour guide Elena giving us history lessons as we drove. The schedule was pick up &depart at 7.15. Followed by 1.5 hour drive before first comfort break, then next 1.5 hours to the park. The walk was pretty gentle and at a nice pace, a few walks up and down some hills but manageable. There is a boat ride on the lake followed by a lunch/snack stop at about 1pm. Then some more walking and departure was at 3pm. There was then a proper lunch stop for an hour until 4pm at a really lovely local restaurant a 10 min drive away. I should have also mentioned that the transport is a really comfy mini bus and so much better than some of the larger buses! Cannot recommend this tour enough! The park is so beautiful!! Elena was just the best and everyone in the group had an amazing time!

Outstanding excurison. Our tour guide Peta couldn't of been any better! Well organised and thought out, we stopped for snacks and a toilet break on the way and at a cute little restaurant on the way back to break up the long bus journey. The lakes themselves are spectacular and live up to all expectations put upon them by Instagram. I am so glad I visited the Plitvice Lakes, I don't think I would of truly been to Croatia otherwise.

Fun in the most beautiful waterfalls in Croatia

Elana was just about the best tour guide ever! She gave us some history of Split when we all hopped on the bus and began our way to Plitvice Lakes. Being a group of only 20 during the tourist season that was just beginning, we were able to sit in individual seats on the bus. The trip each way was 3 hours; stopping for a restroom/ snack break on the journey to and from the Park, and a stop at an excellent restaurant on the way back, because all of that hiking in the park really builds an appetite! The time spent in the National Park was time well- spent, about 4 hours, snapping pictures of all of the gorgeous waterfalls. Elana even took pictures of anyone in the group wanting a special memorable photo. She told us that this was the 500th Plitvice Lakes National Park Day trip that she and our driver Dado(sp?) did! My husband and I could go on and on about how wonderful this tour was. You’ll have to try it yourself and you will be glad you did! We were!!!!!

excellent tour guide Elena & minibus driver Andrej from Sugarman tours. Went early April just after snow storm with plenty of spectacular water in the waterfalls and not so many people as high season. Trees and spring flowers just emerging and everything looking really fresh and attractive. Small restaurant on way back extremely well organised with fast service and tasty food. Long day, but absolutely worth it and travelled through interesting landscapes which made the journey part of the experience of exploring Croatia.
