THOSE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS AND WE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY ARE NOT IN BUSINESS ANY LONGER. As instructed by the Viator, we contacted Travel Delightfully Pte Ltd at: 65 8282-1312 as soon as we arrived to Singapore HOWEVER NOBODY ANSWERED. We went to the Harbourfront ferry terminal and searched for our guide just to be told by the staff working there: I never heard of that company. Let me search for your names/information. After the worker searched and spoke to her co-workers she stated that they believe that, that company is out of business. I continue to call company until the day I left Singapore 2-21-18 and NOBODY EVER RESPONDED TO ME. Viator never let us down BUT this time we just encountered HORROR in Malaysia and Singapore - THE WORST TRIP EVER!!!!

This was a fun day full of activity. The local operator Travel Delightfully was very accommodating regarding my individual needs and was in close contact with me from the point of booking. The entire day went according to plan and I saw and did a lot. A great way to introduce oneself to Bintan. I would book this trip again if returning to Singapore.

If you want a well organised tour with majestic sights then this might not be for you. If you are looking for something more gritty, to see how Indonesian people live, something similar to the amazing race, then it might be for you. We arrived in Batam at the Ferry terminal and there was no tour guide. We soon found another couple looking for the same tour. We approached the Ferry booking counter who had contact details for the company who had booked our tour. 30 minutes later a teenage boy arrived in a car and took us to a temple. He explained he was not a tour guide, but drove us very fast dodging cars and bikes to our first stop which was a temple worth visiting. Here we were met by a tour guide and semi luxurious bus/van. We were then asked what we were expecting to see as the guide had no view of what we had been promised on line. We were told we had to see the bridge, which the Indonesians are very proud of their most iconic man made structure and connects the islands together. Then a Vietnamese village where we fed bananas to 'wild' monkeys, which was very cool and highlight of the day. The chocolate shop was just a chocolate shop. The layer cake factory was very interesting. The cultural show was off, then very easy to do, then off again as they were on holiday, then on again if we paid 15 total between 4 of us. The show was good. A buffet lunch in an ostentatious hotel with Javanese food was a mixture of some very nice dishes and some that were hard to know what they were. Some very spicy. We then convinced the guide to take us to a factory outlet store and a shopping mall instead of going for the one hour massage. Best buys were 5 t-shirts for 10, and some quality jeans for 19. All in all it was a good day, made special by the genuinely lovely local people, the guide who worked so hard to make it a good day for us, and being with another couple who were very positive in the midst of the chaos and uncertainty of the trip.

Very fun day, really enjoyed it, especially feeding the monkeys. My only recommendation would be for the tour guy to tell more about the history of Batam and the places we saw. And the chocolate shop should be optional, as a person who does not eat chocolate to me it was a waste of time. Other than that everything was great, we had a great time.
