Beautiful Day in Victoria
, Oct 2019
We decided to take the Clipper to Victoria for the day. It was a beautiful day and the Clipper is a comfortable and fast boat that gets you to Victoria smoothly and with a view of beautiful scenery the whole way up and back. The people at check in and the crew are very helpful and courteous. We got on a nice tour bus upon arrival and enjoyed a lovely tour of the city with Greg who was knowledgeable and humorous. We have been to many gardens all over the world and Butchart Gardens ranks with the best and has a design and beauty that makes it truly unique. We are so glad we went on this day trip.
Great trip to Butchart Gardens

Visiting with our adult son in Seattle. We took the fast ferry to Victoria and then the bus to Butchart Gardens. It was a wonderful experience!

If the Gardens and clipper company had horribe hospitality, I would give this a lower rating. Twelve hours may not be enough time. At least 7-8 hours were spent traveling on the boat, going through customs and riding out to the Gardens. The gardens are lovely, but you have to get back on the 3PM shuttle to not miss your clipper back to seattle. I practicaly ran through the gardens in an hour so I could bus back to downtown Victoria and walk around and get a real meal.

Boat ride smooth and comfortable. Gardens and high tea beautiful and unique. Mix up with return bus harrowing but just made it back to pier on time. Would recommend to others
Wonderful Day Trip

Every segment of the trip was handled beautifully. The Clipper trip was smooth and views stunning and the gardens, as always, beautiful. Only downside is that you don't really have any time to see the city if you spend the time you need at the gardens. The bus to the gardens makes stops at the Butterfly Garden. It's an extra entry fee, but we felt it was worth it.
Long travel day for a quick visit
, Jul 2019
The trip/tour was exactly as advertised. However, I underestimated how long of a travel day it would be for my 9 year old niece who was traveling with me. Having a long bus ride after the ferry ride was a bit too much for her without some activity. In hindsight, I probably wouldn't do this again without time to spend the night - but that's just to have more time in Victoria - certainly nothing against the actual trip/tour, which was great and as advertised. The gardens were spectacular! I visited in July 2019 - It wouldn't let me pick that option below.

It would be helpful if the Captain would point out areas of interest as we pass. Namely the name of the islands and the mountain ranges. Even the bodies of water.

Started our trip from Seattle by Clipper ferry, crew was very helpful. We decided to upgrade to Vista seating on the upper deck, because Comfort Class was sold out. It was worth it, more leg room and better views. Trevor helped us book high tea at Butchart Gardens. Trevor also explained about shuttles back to downtown and Clipper every hour. The gardens are gorgeous, the sunken gardens are incredibly beautiful and the rose garden is amazing and magnificent. Our high tea was delicious. Service was prompt, we explained to our server we had a shuttle to catch at 3 pm, because on Tuesdays the last ferry back to Seattle leaves at 5 pm. Check the schedule before you book. It was an amazing and memorable day in Victoria, BC. Next time book a night stay with Clipper vacations, they will take your luggage directly to the hotel and you can explore this beautiful island.
Great trip.

Butchart Gardens puts your senses in overload. Beauty around every corner. So much so, you can't hardly take it all in. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give you a 5 rating was because when we returned, our driver let us off away from the terminal because of a bike race, but sent us in the wrong direction. I use a cane to get around and after our trip to the gardens, I was having difficulty getting around. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed in having to walk almost 2 blocks and asking a stranger how to get the the terminal and then having to turn around and retrace my steps. You should have provided a shuttle to get us back to the terminal or at least the driver should have given better instructions for getting back.
