This day trip nature tour to hike and/or snowshoe around Mt. Rainier National Park begins with a Seattle hotel pickup followed by a scenic drive to the park in a luxury vehicle. Upon arrival, enjoy Seattle coffee and pastries before starting the trek along the Nisqually Vista Trail. Be on the lookout for wildlife wandering around the mountain at any time.

This all-day Mt Rainier tour includes frequent stops to take pictures and enjoy light snacks. A picnic lunch of locally sourced, organic foods (grilled chicken or salmon, sandwich or wrap, with a grain or green salad and water or soda) is also provided midday.

At the end of the day, it’s back down the mountain to take a relaxing return trip to Seattle.

Mount Rainier has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember and this tour did not disappoint. Mal was an excellent tour guide and really brought the tour to life. She was also very flexible at accommodating a large group with diverse interests and outdoor abilities. Perfect tour for those who like volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls, or wildflowers.

Great itinerary but missed some items
Anna_G
, Aug 2022
Seeing a bear family on the way back from Mount Rainier, the Paradise Valley, the Reflection Lake. But disappointed that we did not visit all places on the itinerary, I.e. Longmire Springs, Christine Falls Viewpoint, The Walk of Shadows, The Grotto of Patriarchs (the latter is closed, so not the guide’s fault). For this price I would expect to see the items on the itinerary.
icon Response from Host , Aug 2022
Hi Anna, Thanks for sharing your feedback! As listed on the experience page, all of the destinations listed are possible places we will visit, but there just isn't enough time in the day to visit all of those places and still be able to get out and immerse yourself in your natural surroundings. We try to visit as many places as possible, but while still having an enjoyable experience for everyone in the group. Kind regards, DJ | Evergreen Escapes

Fabulously Fun and Eventful Day Tour
joannadrake
, Jul 2022
This day tour was amazing. Granted we were lucky to have a sunny, clear July day, so Mt. Rainier was visible throughout the whole day. The extra stops for mini hikes and waterfall viewing really helped to build the day, and it felt like we really got to experience the Mt. Rainier area, and not just hiking on the mountain. Our guide, Marjory was fabulous, very knowledgeable and fun. The lunch provided was so much better than the uninspiring soggy sandwich the other tour company's provide. I had such a great time on this tour that I booked Evergreen's tour of Olympic National Park as well.

Hi Joanna, Thanks for sharing your tour experience! So happy to hear you had such a great time with us, and that we were able to beat out those soggy sandwiches ;) Kind regards, DJ | Evergreen Escapes

Mt Rainier

Marjorie was a great guide and although the mountain was hidden on the drive there, the clouds cleared when we were at the Park Inn and the mountain shined through at the perfect time. We did a hike up some several hundred feet to take some great pics and experience snow in July. She also took us to some waterfalls and other scenic spots within the park that were beautiful.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Hi Christy, It's unbelievable to be on snow in July, isn't it?! Glad you had such a good time and the Mountain decided to show itself to you! Kind regards, DJ | Evergreen Escapes

I can’t say how much I’d recommend this trip. It was just incredible. Firstly Owen our guide was just amazing, nothing was too much trouble and he just had such an enthusiastic energy. Our whole group were just a great bunch of people. The tour was just incredible and so well thought out. We loved the snowshoeing it was an incredible experience. It was without a doubt the best day of our Seattle trip. Be prepared to walk a little bit and just enjoy the day.

Great trip to a great destination
frankg113
, Jun 2022
Our guide, Mal, was great. The sights were great, an experience not to be missed. There were several hiking trails throughout the day. We were a diverse group of people and ages. It was tough for us seniors to keep up with the younger members of the group, so we just kept plugging along as best as we could and stopped as needed. The bus is not the most comfortable as some others I have been on, but OK if there are breaks from time to time.

Specular Experience in every way

Owen our Tour guide Owen was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions. The hike with snowshoes was a first. Even tough it rained and snowed our tour guide made sure we were comfortable. It snowed the night before and the scenery was beautiful. Breakfast and lunch was a very good touch. I highly recommend Evergreen Escapes. Very professional and well organized

Excellent day trip from Seattle!
Sandra_G
, Jun 2022
What a wonderful day on Mt Rainer. The little bit of rain was to be expected, but did not dampen the experience. Owen did a great job as our guide to all the facts and history of the area. We were so impressed with his knowledge of the native culture, land, and traditions that allowed us to enjoy this beautiful National Park. Lunch was delicious and the lodge in Paradise is not to be missed. Snowshoeing was a blast! We also had excellent communication with the tour company for any questions that we had. Highly recommend!

Worth it
Shelly_C
, May 2022
Completely worth it to have a tour guide take you to the best hiking areas while provide interesting history and facts about the area. The food was good, not overly fancy (you're hiking after all), and more than enough to satisfy. This is a way better option than trying to find multiple parking areas on your own or getting through gates (if they are open) and around to trailheads you aren't familiar with. Having someone who led the way and made sure we had everything we needed took away all stress and let us enjoy the views.
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Hi Shelly, Glad you had such a good time! Traveling and exploring are so much more enjoyable without the stresses of doing it all on your own. Hope to have you back with us in the future! Cheers, DJ | Evergreen Escapes
