Departure Time

8:00 AM
At 14,410 feet above sea level, beautiful and majestic Mt Rainier is an icon in the Washington landscape—an active volcano and the most glaciated peak in the United States, creating six major rivers.

This day trip nature tour to hike and/or snowshoe around Mt. Rainier National Park begins with a Seattle hotel pickup followed by a scenic drive to the park in a luxury vehicle. Upon arrival, enjoy Seattle coffee and pastries before starting the trek along the Nisqually Vista Trail. Be on the lookout for wildlife wandering around the mountain at any time.

This all-day Mt Rainier tour includes frequent stops to take pictures and enjoy light snacks. A picnic lunch of locally sourced, organic foods (grilled chicken or salmon, sandwich or wrap, with a grain or green salad and water or soda) is also provided midday.

At the end of the day, it’s back down the mountain to take a relaxing return trip to Seattle.

Justin was an excellent tour guide. Wealth of knowledge and didn't mind my many questions. Really good day on Mt. Ranier with an excellent group of varying experience and bravery. Loved that he was conscious of that and customized the hike...views and even with a small setback.-Made " lemonade with the lemons' great attitude. Thanks for all the effort to make the day special!

Really enjoyed this trip. Karen was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. Especially loved hiking snow covered mountain to see waterfall and the delicious healthy lunch. Thought we would have seen and done more but perhaps that is all that can safely be done in these conditions.

Hi Debra, Thank you for joining us to explore Washington's most iconic volcano and national park. We always appreciate guest feedback and take it into consideration when taking of future travelers.  I completely understand that you would like to see everything there is to see in Mt. Rainier National Park as there are sincere reasons this area was designated as a national park in the first place! But being that it is over 630 square miles of wilderness area, its just not possible to show guests every corner of the park in one day. We work hard to create an immersive experience in which guests are spending as much time out of the van as possible and get you out on the beautiful trails that showcase this beautiful mountain. In the winter and shoulder seasons, part of the park is still closed due to high snow levels, but this certainly doesn't detract from how much we get to explore in a single day, just changes which areas of the park we focus on.  For any future travelers wondering what we might do on a day in Mt. Rainier National Park, don't hesitate to give us a call!  Thanks again for joining us, Debra! Kind regards, Kenzi Evergreen Escapes evergreenescapes.com | 206.650.5795

An fantastic experience to Mt Rainier Nat’l Park with Marty, 10 hours doesn’t seems enough. Marty the tour guy made the trip so much fun by sharing the wealth of knowledge he has and his passion for the outdoors, we throughly enjoyed the places we visited. I’d highly recommended Evergreen Escapes and Marty.

Guides were terrific, knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure we all had a good experience. The low cloud base and occasional rain prevented us from seeing Mount Rainier but this did not distract from a wonderful experience. The snow shoe hike was a highlight. Regardless of the weather, you will have a full enjoyable day!

WONDERFUL!

Karen and Shawn were very personable, knowledgeable and patient with these 3 ol' ladies from Florida. They listened to our stories and shared their stories with us. It was Karen's FIRST trip as leader. She was GREAT! They took pictures of us and we of them and... of Beautiful Mt. Rainier! We saw deer, waterfalls, Christine Falls and another one, which was covered by snow and only a little window of the falls peeked through. It was a BEAUTIFUL day for us as well. Blue skies and sun shining brightly. WE were instructed as to the proper was to put on Snow shoes and hiked up the mountain! This was not on our bucket list, BUT... It was added and check off! WOW!

Cheers, Kenzi, Evergreen Escapes
