Overview

Though now popular for its animated nightlife, Savannah (along with the rest of the United States), was completely dry during Prohibition in the early 20th century. Learn the history behind the 18th Amendment—and how it led to the rise of smuggling and moonshine—on a tour of the country’s only museum dedicated to the history of Prohibition. Costumed docents keep visitors entertained and informed while exploring this lively collection. And of course, a speakeasy is attached to the museum for you to enjoy after your tour (own expense).
  • Entrance to the American Prohibition Museum, the only one of its kind in the world
  • Browse more than 200 historical artifacts, like dry propaganda and equipment for brewing moonshine
  • Costumed docents inform and entertain from start to finish
  • Photos, murals, videos, and immersive high-tech experience bring the rise and fall of Prohibition to life
  • A craft cocktail speakeasy serves up authentic Prohibition era drinks for after the tour (own expense)

Tour was good. This app is not good

My experience was good with the information provided. Wish there were guides along the way to point out facts. I do have comments on this app. I could not upload not 1 photo. It says up to 10 and I tried all I could and not one photo would save. Please correct so that others can view what I enjoyed most.

A Savannah must

My boyfriend and I loved this museum- which I had more time to spend there! I learned so much, very interactive and engaging. They have amazingly preserved paraphernalia, staff were friendly, not too crowded (even on a Saturday afternoon). Really fun time. I purchased the skip the line ticket but it wasn’t even needed- no line.

The museum was fun but avoid buying online

Not worth it to buy online, it didn’t make it any faster, we ended up holding the line up because buying an online ticket meant filling out paperwork. You would think advance ticket online would mean paperless. Next time we would just buy in person.

We are sorry you were inconvenienced. When purchasing from our online partners, the tickets need to be printed and presented at the time of the tour. We offer the ticket exchange protocol when guests do not have the opportunity to print their tickets. Again I apologize for the inconvenience.
