After making your own way to the Sausalito yacht harbor, step on board the classic schooner ship for your 2-hour sunset sail on San Francisco Bay.

Soak in 360-degree views from the large deck of the schooner throughout your sailing tour. Among some of the more famous sights to look for are Angel Island, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, Fisherman's Wharf, and Coit Tower. You can also spot Crissy Field, Fort Mason, the Bay Bridge, the Transamerica building, Ghirardelli Square, and other locations around Marin, San Francisco, and the East Bay.

Your boat sails in most weather conditions, and it is advisable to be prepared for the cold, wind, fog, and drizzle. Temperatures on the water are often significantly cooler than the temperature on land.

Drinks are available for purchase on board, including beer from California and other locations, wines from Sonoma and Napa Valley, soda or bottled water, and hot chocolate or hot apple cider.

Participants will be notified as soon as possible, and within 24 hours of the scheduled sail, if the tour must be rescheduled due to extreme weather.

The Rolling Sea

You can hear the wind fill the sails, and the sea roll past the hull! The crew are knowledgeable and accommodating, the sun sets behind the Golden Gate, and the lights of the San Francisco skyline turn the night romantic. I'd go again in a heartbeat!

The crew was the best! They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and super friendly. They maneuvered the boat into the perfect vantages for pictures throughout the voyage. Would absolutely do it again!

Disappointed

We left Sausalito and stay on the west side on Angel Island most of the time, and then passed Tiburon, a little north and back to Sausalito. The Golden Gate was foggy, but we could have gone around Angel Island and perhaps have a closer look to Alcatraz.

Thank you for your feedback! The San Francisco Bay is dynamic with its varying micro-climates, making it an ideal and exciting place to sail. Each sail's route is chosen based on current wind and weather conditions. The captain chose a route through Racoon Straits that evening in order to accommodate the sail's main feature, which was to watch the sunset. We hope to welcome you aboard in the future on the San Francisco Bay!

Chilly but beautiful.

The captain and crew were professional and courteous. The sail was relaxing and the views lovely, though extremely cold at times. They did provide blankets for those of us who asked, and there was an indoor area one could access. The crew were not pushy in soliciting drink sales or tips. I would have liked a little more narrative or documents talking about what we were seeing in terms of scenery. Even so, it was a lovely experience.

This was a GREAT experience. The sailing boat is a wonderful wooden schooner and the crew were FANTASTIC. They saw do all our needs, be it drinks, bathrooms, as well as providing blankets when it got too cool. A must-do when in San Francisco
