Don’t go, unless..

During dry season the volcano tends to be clear in the morning with clouds building up during the day. It was like this in the day we went. We visited the coffee place first spending more than two hours there. Once we got to the top of the volcano, we couldn’t see anything (not even the crater) as it was already cloudy.
Staff wasn’t really friendly when I complained about the messed up schedule. This day was a waste of time and money!
My advise: do not book this trip unless they change the itinerary and go to the top of Póas right in the morning. Otherwise just consider taking an Uber instead.
