Lovely idea if the buses were close to being in time . We waited for a bus for 45 min in north beach and tried to chat with customer service and no one ever came on . We pd for the night tour also and got to the spot at 6:28 and no one ever came . We waited until 7:15

It is very cold riding on the bay. Be prepared - they will not allow anyone in the bottom (enclosed portion) of the bus, except for one family. For the amount we paid, I would have preferred having a tour guide rather than audio.

So much fun!

We absolutely loved it, once we got on! It was difficult to find parking and the directions to Vista point on the Sausalito side. Once we found parking in GG park which took over an hour, we realized that your stops inside the park aren't active on Sundays... so... once we got on... we had an amazing time! Got off at Haight/Ashbury for amazing thrift shopping and eating. Ferris Wheel at the Academy of Science to end the fantastic day! Loved the sights, history and thrill of the open air!

Was it really even running???

We waiting for over half an hour at one of the designated stops in San Francisco. We walked to another stop and again- never saw a bus. We attempted to call several times to see if they were even running and kept getting recorded messages that the inbox was full. We finally saw three buses at one stop (Pier 39) or I would have seriously thought they were a closed operation. This was such a disappointment on our last day. We abandoned the Big Bus Tour altogether and got our own rental to make the most of the day. I have always had great experiences with Viator. Not sure what went wrong 😞

We loved riding in the open top bus. Is was great to be looking down upon the city and being to see the beautiful architecture of the homes and businesses from a very different perspective. Regrettably the cold and windy weather forced us to retreat to the lower level of the bus. Big Bus lost stars because their phone app for locating the buses was essentially useless.
