This ferry ride to and 3-hour tour of Coronado from San Diego starts at 9:30am. On the day of your tour, make your way to the entrance of Broadway Pier to meet your guide and small group.
Jump on a ferry that departs for Coronado at 10 am sharp. Your boat takes you across the San Diego Bay, as you take in scenic views of the water. You can even spot the Coronado Bridge along your journey.
When you get to Coronado, we will board local transit and head down Orange Avenue to arrive in the main part of town. Window shopping will make us hungry so we will make a quick stop for a snack - locally made and absolutely delicious!
We'll make our way to Star Park, home to the 'Wizard of Oz' house and then make our way to Coronado Beach. Stroll along the beach, past multi-million dollar homes, hear stories of the various residents including the tales of historic Spreckels Mansion.
Our last stop is at the Hotel del Coronado. The hotel is known for hosting residents and celebrities. We will tour the grounds and finish up just outside the famed Crown Room. This is where your tour comes to an end, but don’t worry, your guide leaves you with advice on what to do next. He or she also tells you ways to get back for when you’re ready.

Itinerary
We will walk through here after we’ve arrived by Ferry. Guests will have time to shop and explore after the tour as they wait for the Ferry’s departure.(Please note that the ferry leaves at 9 am on the dot, so if you’re not at the meeting point at the designated start time, we will be forced to leave without you.)
After a short trip from the Ferry Landing, we’ll spend some time exploring downtown Coronado, and see its cafes, shops and restaurants. Time permitting we’ll pop into a popular shop with unique souviners.Along the way we’ll learn about the first military flying school located on the island, where sailors first learned to fly. We’ll spy architectural gems, some of which employed the latest technology when built over a century ago. And you’ll hear what drew Charles Lindbergh, L. Frank Baum and Marilyn Monroe to this unique beach town. We’ll also pop into a local museum (subject to availability) to look at artefacts and photos that will bring these stories to life.
When hunger strikes we’ll make a quick stop for a snack at a local eatery. It could be something sweet or something savory – depending on our mood – but whichever way we go, we promise it will be locally made and delicious.
