Best Tour on my Salem Visit

We were in the Salem area for a week - first time visiting Boston/Salem. We had a walking tour almost every night in Salem. The Bewitched tour was the best one we did. Our tour guide- I think her name was Sarah- was wonderful. I felt badly for her as we were the only two people that showed up. Nice for us, as we got a private tour, but not as good for her. She must be one of the foremost experts in the world at walking backwards! :) She walked backwards almost the entire tour; she is very animated and obviously passionate about the history of Salem. We enjoyed it tremendously. Many of the tours we did were similar in content, although diverging somewhat on facts- however, I realize that there are gaps in the available content /knowledge base of what happened over 300 years ago. Sarah was head and shoulders above the rest though for her enthusiasm and knowledge. And she gave us some great tips on where to eat, including Red's, which was as fabulous as she said. Very enjoyable.

Our tour guide Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. Jeff had many small details on the history Recent and past because he had grown up in Salem. I appreciated the way that he paid respect to accused, so-called witches , by speaking about each one of them.

Jeff was able to share a lot of personal stories growing up in Salem that added to the interesting history. He implied that he had actually read court documents from the witch trials - not sure if that is true but if so that is commendable for a tour guide. Many, many details provided on the backgrounds and fate of the persecutors and accused.
