Great relaxing day away from Rome!

We wanted a day away from Rome and looked for a trip with a winery visit. Only 4 of us on this trip and enjoyed every minute. WInery tour was wonderful, great selection of quality wines in a beautiful location. Then to the lake and visit to the lovely town that is home to the Pope's summer home. Quiet town with so much beauty; gorgeous old church and many cute shops to stop in. We walked a short distance to a restaurant for a delicious lunch on a balcony overlooking the lake. Food was terrifc and plenty of wine was served. Then we walked another short distance to the train and rode back into Rome terminal. Such a pleasant, relaxing day! We were truly refreshed after this day trip.
