Rome Pre-Cruise Private Tour

John our tour guide was amazing. We told him what we wanted to see and let him do the rest! He was educational but not boring and took us to the best view points off the beaten track. Exceptional in every way. He dropped us off at the boarding point for our cruise. Highly recommend it.

We 100 recommend using Viator. Once booked and we received outstanding service from Viator and Rome Driving Tours, as well as from our driver. This was our 1st trip to Europe and I had many many questions that were answered promptly and courteously. Our flight arrived in Rome at 8am and we had to be to our ship by 3pm. With much correspondence back and forth, and invaluable advice, we were able to see our top sites in our limited time. Max was our driver and he was right there when we walked out of the airport. We jumped in his Mercedes and were off to see the wonderful sites of Rome. He spoke fluent English and guided us through the Sistine Chapel. With our limited time and Max's wealth of knowledge of the Vatican, we were able to navigate our way through it without getting too lost, otherwise we would probably be still there! What a wonderful experience! I read several online reviews before booking our trip and you are always skeptical if they are true. This is the real deal, I have kept the contact information to share with our friends and family and would book through Viator over booking through the cruise line. I also shared our Viator experience with fellow cruisers who, like me, have been hesitant to book outside the cruise line. I am so glad we ventured outside our comfort zone. It was nice but our ship was so late but no reflection on the private tour -

We had a private van that was like new, our tour guide/driver Palo? was fantastic ! His knowledge of the city and it's history was amazing. We saw not just the typical sights but many off the circuit and learned about things you'll never see in the history books. Great stuff, only way to really see Rome.
