Market Visit and Cooking Class:
Begin in Val Melaina market, one of Rome’s best outdoor food markets. Work your way around the colorful stalls with your instructor, and select ingredients for your class, choosing from the wide array of fresh vegetables, cheeses and meats.
Shopping done, head for the cooking venue, and set about making a traditional, 2-course Italian meal. With step-by-step guidance from your instructor, prepare a pasta course such as delicious bucatini all'Amatriciana (thick spaghetti-style pasta in spicy tomato and bacon sauce) or creamy spaghetti carbonara (an egg, cheese, bacon and black pepper sauce).
Then, make a classic Italian cake for dessert. When your food is ready, sit down with your fellow cooks and instructor to enjoy your home-cooked meal, served with complimentary wine tastings.
Fresh Egg Pasta Maker Class:
Settle into your kitchen space at the cooking venue, and learn the art of making fresh egg pasta — in true Italian style. Watch a demonstration, and then, under the watchful eye of your instructor, make your own fettucine, parpadelle or ravioli with an accompanying sauce.
Finally, learn whizz up an authentic Italian tiramisu before joining everyone around the table to enjoy your meal, served with complimentary wine.
