Lunch

Hmm...we can’t seem to find this place. Please check the spelling, or choose another location.

8:00 AM
We also do pickups from bus stops in Reykjavík, since some hotels are located within traffic restricted areas. We do pickups at the following bus stops: #1, #3, #4, #6, #8, #9, #12 and #13.
After hotel pickup in Reykjavík in the morning, board your Mercedes Benz Sprinter—a luxury minibus equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi. Meet your experienced guide who shares information about each location you visit during this full-day itinerary along Iceland’s stunning south coast.

This scenic trip includes a stop at two waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Snap photos of Sólheimajökull glacier and Eyjafjallajökull volcano, and search for puffins along the black-sand beaches of Reynisfjara.

En route, get a taste of traditional Icelandic snacks: smoked lamb on flatbread accompanied by a typical beverage. There is also a stop for lunch before drop-off back at your hotel.
Itinerary
Stop At:
Seljalandsfoss
The famous waterfall one you can walk behind. Be careful you might get wet :) This unique waterfall flows from the infamous glacier Eyjafjallajökull, the molten-syllables-which nobody can pronounce good for nothing volcanic glacier that stopped all the air traffic over the North-Atlantic back in 2010. At Seljalandsfoss there are restrooms, a food stall and a small gift shop. The restrooms are free of charge. NOTE:
Duration: 45 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Skogafoss
An archetypal waterfall, Skógafoss is one of the most beautiful and tallest waterfalls in Iceland. There is a staircase leading to a viewing platform for the waterfall and surrounding areas. The platform gives you an expansive view of the south coast, Eyjafjallajökull and Skógafoss. NOTE: the restrooms are behind a paywall and entry costs ISK 200 / USD 2.
Duration: 40 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Solheimajokull Glacier
Sólheimajökull is a glacier tongue, an offshoot off of the main body of Mýrdalsjökull glacier. We walk towards Sólheimajökull, through the valley it has carved out of the mountain scape and along the glacier river it forms at its base. The valley is a chaotic collection of rocks, gravel and sand which the tongue ground down as it passed over the land. The glacier is unlike others as it is striped with layers of ash crushed between seasonal layers of ice, but the glacier is surrounded by multiple active volcanic stations. NOTE: the restrooms are behind a paywall and entry costs ISK 300 / USD 2.5, they accept credit cards.
Duration: 45 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Reynisfjara Beach
Reynisfjara, or the Black Sand Beach, is truly a natural marvel. The site offers beautiful basalt columns, a natural arc viewed from afar, troll-like sea stacks and during the summer season there are thousands of puffins which make the cliffs of the Black Sand Beach their home. We do both sightseeing and the lunch break there. The restaurant overlooks the South Coast and offers bites suitable for any palate and diet. Restrooms are free for customers.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Vik
A short photo stop at the photogenic village of Vík. We stop by the town's church where the troll-like basalt stacks and the village provide the perfect background for a selfie :D
Duration: 15 minutes

We had a magnificent time on this tour! Baldwin was our guide and he was excellent, he gave us the history of sites as we drove and scheduled the timing of visiting each site based on the weather, it ended up being a perfect day! He was able to get us to the locations with very little crowds and very flexible with our time. I would highly recommend this tour! My adult kids went along and they had the time of their lives!

10/10 Experience

A great trip! You get to see some amazing sights, especially the waterfalls. At first my group wasn’t sure how we felt about walking behind one of the waterfalls because you get soaked but we are glad we did it! Once in a lifetime experience to say you walked behind a waterfall in Iceland. Just make sure you bring a good raincoat and rain pants to slip on over your regular pants. Our tour guide Leroy was full of energy and very friendly, he made the trip very fun for everyone. We also appreciated that our safety was always his priority, he would let us know what to be careful around at each location, such as the safest path to take around the waterfall or to be on the lookout for dangerous waves at the beach.

An Enjoyable Time— No Matter the Weather

Almar, Our tourguide, impressed us immediately with his friendliness and sunny outlook…which was good because our weather wasn’t the best. He rearranged our schedule of stops to maximize our experience & added colorful detail & tips & commentary during travel times. Iceland’s landscape from waterfalls to black sand beaches and glaciers offered plenty to see & do & we enjoyed that—along with advice about other experiences & foods we might partake during our time here.

Amazing tour seeing some beautiful sights. The tour guide is what makes it - Anna have us some amazing facts as a local which you just don’t get from the guide books. There is a secret waterfall in a cavern at the site of the waterfall you can walk behind - go and see it! You have to walk over some stones in a stream but it’s worth it
