I highly recommend this tour! It was predicted to snow all day, and our guide Gudmundur offered to cancel the tour once we had the whole group together. Since it was our and another couple's last day in Iceland, we decided to push on. I am so glad we did! We saw everything scheduled on the tour that day and then some. Gudmundur added some extra stops since he felt bad that the snow prevented us from seeing some of the countryside. We especially loved the stop at the tomato farm. Fresh tomato soup for lunch at our expense of course was perfect for a snowy day! I hate that I can only upload 10 photos.

Well we actually went out on the 17th however that was a mutual agreement after the trip company contacted me to ask if we would be ok with the change. Was fine by us and even then there was only a total of 9 of us on the tour. This meant a lot more freedom for us as regards what options to take in and which sequence to do them in. Started just around sun up heading out of Reykjavik to our first stop at Thingvellir National Park and allowing us a chance to walk about 1k through the gap. The rising sun still tingeing the snow red in places. Then onto Gullfoss Falls. from there an unlisted stop at a local dairy farm for some home made ice cream. Then to the lunch stop at Geyser Strokkur. Opted within our group to miss out another waterfall so as to ensure we visited the crater of Rauðhólar and the Kerio crater. From there we just made it to Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach to see the sunset. An all round good day, good knowledgeable local guide, plenty of stories as we went.
