Fab Food and Lotsa Icelandic Culture

Wow! On a windy and sometimes rainy few hours Ben was able to keep us wanting more! From Lamb to Hot Dogs to a 500 year shark bit, we learned so much about food and about what it means to eat, feel and think like an Icelandic Viking! And to be super generous Ben took our pictures when we saw the double rainbow! One of the best - thank you!

I did this tour with David and it was a wonderful experience. He definitely added to the great experience because of his up-beat personality. The food was interesting and I felt like I tried a wide range. If you love trying different types of food I would highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Thor was knowledgeable about the food and culture and historic sites. He was intelligent and engaged. The food was a great mix of basic to more complex dishes and included dessert

Our guide moon day could not have been more charming and knowledgeable! And when they tell you there’s a lot of food to eat, take them seriously and go hungry! The last stuff for dessert had the most spectacular view in Reykjavík

Enjoyable Tasting & Cultural Tour

We enjoyed this tour on our first day in Reykjavik. Guide was very nice and knowledgeable about Iceland (her home country) and current food culture, as she is a professional chef! Restaurant choices were excellent in terms of seeing different parts of the city. Food was delicious, varied and plentiful. The pace was slow, which some may find relaxing. Tour lasted 3.5 hours.

Taste of Iceland

Eyglo, our guide, was terrific. Friendly, pleasant, and knowledgeable, she walked us through the center of town, where we stopped at 5 different places (4 sit-down restaurants and one amazing hot-dog stand!) The food was mostly fish and lamb but there were veggie options for those who were not omnivorous. All in all, good food, good company, and very informative!

Lovely to meet people and trying out different dishes at various restaurants. Wish we had done it sooner in our trip so we could have gone back to some of the restaurants. Guide aigloo was enthusiastic about food and gave great insight into Icelandic culture.
