Begin your full-day tour with pickup from your hotel in the Reykjavik area between 830am and 9am. Meet your guide and small group of no more than 19, and settle inside your comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.

Then, set out into Iceland’s stark countryside on your 11-hour tour. On route, listen to intriguing facts about the country, hearing about its history, geology, and culture from your guide.

Head into UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, one of Iceland’s famous Golden Circle sights. Learn how it lies within a belt of volcanic activity, and is home to the mid-Atlantic ridge, where the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia face each other over a valley. Walk between the plates as you hear how they are gradually moving further apart, and savor the experience of straddling the two continents.

Take a detour from the Golden Circle to visit the Kerid (Kerið) crater, a 3,000-year-old crater filled with a lake. Peer into the 180-foot (55-meter) deep hollow, and admire the magical-looking blue lake cradled by the red- and green-colored slopes.

Visit the Geysir geothermal area, exploring the surreal-looking landscapes on foot. View the bubbling ponds and steam vents, and see the Geysir and Strokkur geysers, the latter shooting water up to 98 feet (30 meters) every five to 10 minutes.

Stop at the Gulfoss Waterfall, taking in this beautiful 105-foot (32-meter) fall, and then continue to Iceland’s famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa surrounded by lava-sculpted countryside.

Head inside (own expense, with pre-booking of your admission ticket required) and change into your bathing suit. Then, enjoy a long soak in the warm, therapeutic waters, lying back in the steam and admiring the lava fields as you bathe.

After about two hours here, your tour finishes with a hotel drop-off in Reykjavik.

Excellent trip

Had a great time and recommend everyone to book their tours with Nice travel. Tour guide - Addi was a brilliant guide. He was knowledgable, funny and friendly. He told us all we needed to know about each location plus some interesting facts in between. Also had the freedom to explore ourselves which was a nice change from following guides around on other tours. Group size - It was good travelling with a smaller group compared to a coach-sized tour which is normally enjoyable too but with a smaller tour you’re able to travel to places quicker and don’t have to wait around as much. Vehicle - It was clean, spacious and comfortable. Addi was also a great driver. Itinerary - we were at each location for the perfect amount of time. We also visited an Icelandic horse stable which was a nice surprise. We loved everything we saw on this trip!

I don’t know where to start. Iceland has been one of my bucket list for sometime now.. This tour made the experience that much more great. Me and my best friend were picked up from our hotel on time. The tour guide was highly knowledgeable and funny. We stopped at all the destinations on time and a few bonus stops. We took bathroom breaks , lunch breaks. The travelers on the bus were great to share this experience with. We all kind of stuck together. This was a magical experience.

Our guide was very informative with just enough dry wit to add even more enjoyment to the day. The sights were all spectacular and ending the day in the Blue Lagoon truly topped it off perfectly. Do yourself a favor and take this tour.
