Be ready for convenient pickup at your Reykjavik accommodations. Board a comfortable bus and find your seat, equipped with Wi-Fi and a USB charger. Each seat also comes equipped with a tablet, which provides GPS-sensitive audio guides in several languages.

The UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park is the first stop. There, learn about the Althing, one of the world's oldest parliaments. The park is also home to the location where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates have been dramatically pulled apart; the rift makes great photos.

Continue to Geysir geothermal area, where you visit the very active Strokkur geyser. Take a walk around the Gullfoss Waterfall, where runoff from the Hvítá glacial river drops over two levels into a canyon.

To keep exploring the rugged terrain of the central highlands, hop aboard a custom super-truck bound for the snowmobile base camp at the foot of the Langjökull Glacier. There, transfer to a snowmobile to ride across the snow and ice fields of the white wilderness.

After a day of adventure, relax onboard the bus as you're whisked back to Reykjavik and dropped off in the evening.
Itinerary

Thingvellir National Park
The tour starts with a visit to Þingvellir National Park, the birthplace of the longest running parliament in the world. It is also here that the great continental plates of America and Eurasia have dramatically pulled apart and the resulting rift valley is clearly visible on the shores of Iceland´s biggest lake.
Duration: 45 minutes
Admission Ticket Included
Stop At:
Strokkur
The next stop is at Geysir Hot Springs, the home of the original geyser and one of the most photographed tourist attractions in world. Here the ground trembles and super heated water & steam erupts skywards from the spouting Strokkur geyser every few minutes.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At:
Langjokull Glacier
Next we head to Gullfoss Waterfall where you will step aboard a custom-made Super Truck that´s capable of driving across rough snowy terrain thanks to its enormous tyres. Outstanding Trip

By far the best part of our 4 day trip to Iceland. The Guide was outstanding and explained many items. Did not care for the tablet option so i did miss out on a large amount of the history. Arriving in the State Park was unbelievable you have to see this. The other two areas were as expected. The Snowmobile portion was outstanding. They just need to add a few 3x suits mind you this is from someone who is 6'5" tall and not small. I would go again.

The Golden Circle part of the trip was fine. And did really enjoy the snowmobiling. But the snowmobile guides / weren’t really guides. They provided no information other then the basics of gearing up and even then had to ask for some cover boots etc. There was a space indoors where they easily could have had a pot of hot chocolate for after — just not nearly as customer oriented as was our snorkeling experience. They could do a few things that would not really cost them much if anything to make the experience top rated.

A bit of everything on this trip, some natural park, geysers, waterfalls. But the best part of the day was the snowmobiling. We enjoyed a good ride up top of the glacier and once there it snowed lightly, first time for the season. A truly magical experience, well worth doing.

I had originally booked a dog sledding adventure but realised too late that it was 6.5 hours away, so had to find an experience fitting to make up for not sledding... this was it. Golden Circle tour was interesting and we learned much. I particularly liked that iPads were provided with access to whichever language you prefer offering information about Iceland and particular aspect of the tour; but, what really worked for me was the Guide who told us about his upbringing and customs in Iceland - riveting. We visited the National Park - bit too dark to see anything (doesn't get light until about 11am, and the tour started at 8am), the Geysers were amazing and then onto the highlight boarding a Monster Truck to go snowboarding. You get the full gear but you will need hand warmers to place in your gloves (provided, but too thin to have any use) or use your own. Once finished we went to see the Gullfoss Waterfalls which were okay - there are other more commanding waterfalls in Iceland but offered a nice backdrop for photos. Overall, it was a fab experience and we loved it - from beginning to end.

I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for and Viator has come up trumps yet again, from the very prompt collection from our hotel to being dropped off back at our hotel this was a magical experience with very knowledgeable guides and plenty of time at each venue to savour the fabulous scenery and shops should you wish. The highlight of the trip was obviously the snowmobile experience, even the ride in the monster truck to get us up the mountain was a fabulous and sometimes hairy journey especially when the driver had to get out and let some air out of the tyres to assist our climb up a snowy/icy terrain. We had a fabulous time on this trip and fully recommend it

Like many of our other trips, I was disappointed by the scenery in Iceland. Maybe my expectations were too high, but the land is obviously volcanic, rugged and sterile. There is the odd special moment, but not enough to justify the long trip. The snowmobile trip was an experience as I have never tried this before, but it is advertised as an 1 hour trip. Beware, you are on the snowmobile for an hour, but the journey to and from, getting kitted out and the safety briefing took us in excess of four hours.
