We really enjoyed our private tour of Chichen Itza followed by our refreshing stop at Cenote Selva Maya. Would highly recommend this private excursion to visit Chichen Itza.

I’m Converted. Private Tours are Worth It

This private tour completely exceeded our expectations. There were 7 of us in our group. 4 of us had been to Chitzen Itza as part of a group tour. As you can imagine we really had no interest in going back. Were we in for a surprise we were picked up promptly at 7AM and traveled straight to Chitzen Itza. Along the way we taught about a plethora of historical facts including the Mayan calendar and how numbers were displayed. Arriving before all the crowds flood in makes the experience that much better. We visited a local Cenote and then stopped in a town on the way back. This was a fantastic day!! Thank you so much for exceeding our expectations.

Nice Outing

Unlike other reviews, this outing includes the driver and a guide once arriving at Tulum. We paid an additional fee for being picked up in Cancun, but it was worth it. We were a party of 5, including a senior citizen for whom we considered while booking the trip. The only thing that would have made this trip better would have been a guide on the van to give a better background of Tulum and its place in Mayan history. The cenote on the way back was not very impressive as we had previously visited the Cenote Silva Maya when returning from Chichen Itza. However, for the price, this was definitely the way to go.

Great day trip

Alberto and Benjamin were great! Our party of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids) had a fabulous time learning about the Maya history and Chichen Itza. The kids age 9-13 were enthralled with all the information that Alberto shared. Then they recommended the cenote and lunch at Selva Maya and it was fabulous. We had a wonderful day and the kids said it was worth the 3 hour drive from Cancun. That alone says it all!

Alex (Alejandro) is amazing!

Our tour was unforgettable, and Alex the tour guide was a big part of that. He was attentive, descriptive and very educational. He gave us time to look for ourselves and kept us (baby who was part of the tour, included) involved and interested. Amazing doesn't describe Chichen Itza!

Best Way to Tour the Yucatan

We absolutely loved the flexibility and personal service we got from a private tour, and since there were 5 in our family group, the pricing wasn't bad at all. The service came with both a driver and tour guide, both of whom were personable, accommodating, and funny. We chose our departure time, and had zero hassle when we ran 5-10 minutes late. The driver was happy to stop at a coffee shop on the way out - can you imagine asking a group tour to make a personal stop for you? We had all the flexibility we wanted when it came to time at Chichen Itza, the Ik Kil cenote (you have a choice of 3), and Valladolid. If you can afford it, a private tour has many advantages over a group tour. Highly recommended!
