Great day at the Cenotes with a great guide.
, Feb 2022
Positives from the excursion: - Herlan, our guide, was brilliant! From encouraging us to try different things (like jumping into the Cenote) to helping with advice and information throughout the day and taking pictures for us - He was such a wonderful guide! - We did see a turtle which was an amazing experience. You can’t quite appreciate how amazing this is to see in their natural habitat. We also saw stingrays! - The Cenotes were stunning and not super-cold like some of the others that we had been in. Herlan took us to the quieter areas at the start of the day which meant a beautiful, swimming experience. We won’t forget this! Some things that could be improved: - The pick-up and transport was a little hectic. You’re picked up and taken to Playa del Carmen and a big gift shop where you have to check in before hoping that your guide finds you. We appreciated Herlan taking us back to the hotel but if there were more people on the tour from different places - this could have taken a while. - The food provided was pretty bad to be fair but there were plenty of opportunities to stop at convenience stores which we did to buy our own food and drink. - The description that I read said comfortable shoes which I wore - I reality, flip-flops/sandals are more appropriate. - Recommend brining some cash with you to tip and pay deposits for lockers etc.
Wonderful, but long day.

Would have been more stars. Harlen our guide was perfect. Seeing the turtles was incredible. But we signed up for a 4 hour cenote swim and swim with turtles. Got lumped in with group that added Tulum, and we were gone from 7am until 830 at night. Did that earlier in the week with another tour.

Hernel the tour guide
, Jun 2021
Hernel was an excellent guide. He picked us up very promptly at the meeting point and time. He explained so much history and took the time to show each one of all the little parts of the caverns. He took us to three different Cenotes and told us history about each one, Tortuga, Jaguar and Tres Zapotes. Tortuga and Tres Zapotes were absolutely gorgeous and were so much fun to swim in. Both have high jump parts and Hernel videos and took pictures of our jump for us. After the Cenote swim we went to Akumal and swam with the turtles. At Akumal, another guide joined Hernel to lead the guide to see the turtles. We got see a sting ray along with some of the turtles. After the turtle swim we went to a local spot for lunch. Hernel had made a sandwich to snack on and had plenty of water and drinks for us. Hernel is an absolutely amazing tour guide. Zak is the wonderful driver of the tour bus and did a fantastic job driving us around. An absolutely wonderful tour with the best tour guides!!

Our guide, Rocco, was excellent. However the absolute cluster at the beginning of the trip was terrible. From our appointed pick up time until our departure for our tour was 1 3/4 hours! This time was spent at a second check in, collecting the extra $12 fee and standing around! Lunch was a small sandwich, banana and fruit juice. We did not snorkel in the cenote as advertised. Book a different trip
Great experience at a Cenote and with sea turtles
, May 2021
This experience was fantastic. Roco was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were safe at all times. Everything was on time and efficient. The cenote was beautiful, and swimming with the sea turtles, off which we saw many, was a real treat. All this being the case, I would highly and happily recommend this excursion to anybody looking to do something fun and memorable at Riviera Maya.
Memorable Experience on Our Honeymoon!
, Apr 2021
My husband and I booked this excursion for our Honeymoon in Tulum based on recommendations from close friends. Communication prior to arrival was somewhat strange. There was a change in pickup location from a local super market to a nearby Tulum sign, then back to the super market. They communicated this through email and a phone call. We were picked up from the super market on a private bus with other guests and taken on the excursion. Our experience from there forward was wonderful! We went to casa tortuga and visited a cenote. Then the guide transported us to Akumal beach where our snorkel dive took place. It was amazing! An experience my husband and I will never forget. Overall, I didn’t give the experience 5 stars because of the strange pickup method, but the excursion itself was very memorable. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing adventure. Herlan was very personable and showed us the true beauty of Tulum. I highly recommend this excursion, saw plenty of turtles and the cenotes were very refreshing
One of the best and most peaceful tour
, Dec 2020
One of the best tours ever. No one else booked or showed... so it turned into a private tour. Herlan Calderon was an EXCELLENT guide. We had so much fun, laughs and smiles... we will definitely be back and contact him directly. Pick up was on time... he handled everything. We headed to the cenote jamming to old school 80s and 90s jams. At the cenote we were the first people there, talk about peaceful. We swam and enjoyed at our own pace. Herlan didn't rush us at all, he took amazing photos. We headed to akumal to swim with turtles 🐢❤. He explained everything... took us directly inside and made sure we were good to go. He had a friend Carlos who took AMAZING photos of us with his GoPro for the cost of a cash tip. He Whatsapp me 67 photos and 8 videos. Herlan returned us back to The Reef 28. Cancun Bay Tours, Herlan is truly a gem !!!
