Your ATV tour starts from Rock Springs, a community located in Black Canyon City just north of Phoenix. Check-in with your guide for a safety briefing and training then slip on your helmet, goggles, and gloves before setting off for the Bradshaw Mountains of the Sonoran Desert.

Travel past saguaro cacti and deep canyons carved by flash floods in the vast desert terrain. Ride off-road over rugged washes and cross creeks.

The ride offers scenic views of the Agua Fria River Valley, and includes plenty of stops to learn about the area from your guide. Hear anecdotes about the Native Americans who once farmed the unforgiving landscape; search for coyotes, bobcats, deer, rabbits, quail, and snakes.

Traveler Tips

  • "Make no mistake, this is a real, off-road, desert trail so the going can get rough, you are going to get dirty, and your nose is going to collect enough dust to create a small island so be prepared."

Very fun! Some safety concerns..

Very fun. I like the Independence of roaming free on the ATV. However, would recommend not rushing through lessons and talking down on clients who crash. This was something one fella did while strapping us into our helmets. Also some concerns for safety protocol—in the event that there is ever a medical emergency there’s no way the staff would know because they are only at the site of check in. Please consider modifying this.

This tour was amazing! Jake was the tour guide and he was great. He told us all about the area, the different cacti & even about the animals in the area while showing us the beautiful trails of the desert. I recommend everyone doing this if they’re in the area!

The staff was friendly and professional. Everything you need will be provided. It's best to drive yourself. 'Pretty hard to get a rideshare back to Scottsdale from this location. Prepare to get dirty and have fun!

Great fun for all ages (but choose the right vehicle and course)

We loved our tour with Jesse in the all terrain buggy and we’re so glad we chose that option! The terrain is for expert ATVers. And even though I own one I wouldn’t want to try this trail on ATV. But we had just as much fun and excitement on the buggy! Went to some ancient ruins, got splashed in a creek, climbed some amazing hills. Jesse was fun and a knowledgeable guide. At one point he had to rescue some folks who thought they could handle the trail and flipped their ATV. Very costly mistake for them! The trail is dangerous for all but experts (no kids) but they have a “playground “ option if you must ride ATVs. So... kids and older adults, you have choices here!

Great experience. Nice and friendly staff. This was my first time riding an ATV and it was a great experience. Everything was explained well and after about 30 minutes, I felt much more comfortable on the ATV.

In town for the weekend and this was a great activity to do while in AZ. Viator ATV riding was so fun. Friendly staff, good prices, and fun trails for all skill levels to ride unguided. They provided cold waters when we took a break and new head socks for every rider which was great and sanitary. We will definitely be back when in the area.
