Next, stop for lunch (included) at the Moulin de Fourges restaurant, set on the banks of the Epte River, before continuing to Versailles.

Spend the afternoon exploring the magnificent Versailles Palace, starting with a guided tour of rooms such as Louis XIV’s suite and the Hall of Mirrors. Then, stroll around the beautiful gardens, and watch the famous Musical Fountain Show (every weekend from April to October).

Finally, return to Paris, where your tour ends back at the original departure point.

Fondation Claude Monet
You will be driven from Paris to Giverny, in the comfort of an air-conditioned minibus, where you will start your day with the visit of Claude Monet’s property. Located at the edge of Normandy, about 50 miles north of Paris, Claude Monet’s Home is one of the most popular tour destination around Paris. There you will discover the famous gardens created by the most famous of the Impressionist painters often referred to as the father of Impressionism, though not the first to have painted in « a style that would become known as Impressionism ». You will enjoy the sight of the well-known Japanese bridge in the midst of its flowered paths and wather-lily ponds, and the house, with its pink crushed brick façade, where the leader of the Impressionist School spent 43 years from 1883 until his death in 1926. After a morning spent in one of this most inspirational settings, you will head off to the banks of the Epte River where you will have lunch at the lovely “Moulin de Fourges” restaurant, a 200-year-old mill. The architecture of this listed site, dating back to the 18th century, draws its inspiration from hamlet of Marie-Antoinette at Versailles.

Great small-group day trip at a good pace, with a delicious lunch included.
, Oct 2021
I did two day trips: this one and a larger group to Loire Valley. This one was far superior. It was a small group (just my party of three and two others). The tour guide was absolutely lovely, and she was very good at giving us historical context for the sights we were viewing. The van ride was smooth, and once we arrived at Monet's house we were allowed plenty of time to explore on our own. Lunch was a three-course meal including an aperitif, a bottle of red, and a bottle of white for the five of us. The food was great, and I even bought a bottle of the local cider because it was so good. The palace of Versailles was magnificent, and the tour route was brief but well thought out. We were allowed time at the end to explore the huge gardens before heading back. What I liked most was that the pace was almost perfect - we never spent too long in any place, but we never felt rushed and were able to really appreciate the sights. I would definitely recommend this day trip to anyone interested in Monet or Versailles!
Wonderful Outing - money well spent!

Our tour guide, Isabel, was incredible. She had a wealth of knowledge of both Giverny and Versailles, as well as history of France and Paris. She made the trip interesting and memorable. Lunch was delicious and very generous. I highly recommend this day trip.

Loved Giverny and the lunch was fantastic. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, but by the end of the day at Versailles, we were overloaded with information so the cliff notes version would have been fine so that we could have enjoyed equal time in their beautiful gardens.

Michelle was the most amazing tour guide. Her knowledge is remarkable. She was kind and helpful. I would recommend a tour with her to everyone I know.
Worth every penny

1. Lovely drive out to Giverny and Versailles. Very scenic and picturesque. 2. We had enough time to wander the grounds at Monet’s house, and the town. 3. The meal at Moulin de Fourges was amazing. Beautiful plating, great wine, and they made chicken and potatoes look completely new and amazing. 4. Great tour of the palace at Versailles (even in a massive crowd) and just enough time to shop and enjoy the gardens. Isabel was a lovely guide and it was fun listening to her talk about Paris, Monet and Marie Antoinette. The next time I come to Paris I will make sure to book tours with this company again.
Loved it

Wonderful tour! Yvonne, the driver and tour guide, was personable and knowledgeable. Very good English speaker. Great idea to pair these two venues of Monet's lovely home and gardens in Giverny and the fabulous palace and gardens of Versailles. Lunch in between at the charming restaurant on the river was a treat.
Great experience!

Tour guide was great! Everything went smooth and easy. You don't really get much time in the gardens at Versailles. That was the only downside.
Rosanne was an incredible and knowledgeable guide
, Oct 2019
We enjoyed our tour. Roseanne drove us in a very comfortable VW van and lunch was good. Our only complaint is that there is no guided tour at giverny, which is what we expected. The tour at Versailles was wonderful and we learned a great deal about French history. The weather in October was a bit dreary, definitely suggest September instead.
Wonderful full day tours of both sites.
, Oct 2019
A full day at both spots. Tour guide was exceptional. Both tours were informative and done with knowledgeable info of Monet’s home and Versailles’ history. Both of us enjoyed the tour of the two sites.
