First Rate Tour to See Champagne!
Courtney_M
, Jul 2021
Antoine was a fantastic guide and the van was comfortable. Our group was small (3 people) so the tour felt very personalized and he provided a lot of commentary and insights. First, he drove us to the Reims gothic cathedral (incredible!) and then to a local champagne producer for a tour and tasting. The champagne was excellent. From there we stopped and had lunch in Epernay and then went to a larger champagne co-op to learn their process and try their wines. The day concluded with a visit to Dom Perignon's grave. Overall, this tour far exceeded my expectations and it was a perfect balance of local and commercial champagne + history of the area without feeling rushed but also with no time wasted. Highly recommend this day trip from Paris!

Simply Exquisite Champagne Tasting!

This all day tour was exceptional and we had an amazing knowledgeable young lady named Olivia as our guide! I’m so happy we didn’t pass up this opportunity. Before heading to the Moët & Chandon cellars, we made a stop at a small family run cellar which was most enjoyable! Their Champagne was exquisite … now I’m wishing I purchased more to bring home to Texas!

Great Trip

JP was a super friendly and knowledgeable guide. The pickup and drive to Champagne were seamless, and we had two very different and amazing experiences at both champagne makers. We visited the cathedral in Reims, which was stunning. Lunch was in a great little area, and we had plenty of time to eat. At the end, we stopped by the tomb of Don Perignon, which was really cool. Both tours of the wine houses were fantastic, educational, and fun. The underground cellars of Moët & Chandon were indescribable! We left the tour knowing so much more about champagne making, and it’s history! JP is a very great guide, and a safe driver. This trip was everything we’d hoped it would be.

Best Small Group Tour you can buy

This company was excellent and only sells up to groups of 12 people. We had a wonderful day in the Champagne valley with our tour guide as the driver. The first stop was a small family-run vineyard operation where you get up close and personal access to the process. The Moet tour was very formal and fancy, almost Stepford wife like tour guide. I ended up ordering a case of Champagne from the first company and we love every drop of it. I wish I would have found this tour group earlier and done every tour with this company. They are that good. This was my favorite tour in all of Paris.

Review of Champagne Trip

Need to update transportation. Van is old, rattles all the time, and is too cramped for this extent of trip. All seats full to the max. Most passengers uncomfortable the entire trip. Guide was great and stops were interesting.

The best day ever!

What a great way to get up close and personal with an incredible family owned winery. The small group was wonderful as we all became friends immediately. The guide was so personable and helped us with anything asked. The family winery stop was perfection. It was informative and intimate. It gave us the knowledge needed to fill in the gaps at the larger Moet tour.

Moet & Chandon & Reims Cathedral Visit through BLUE FOX & VIATOR

WOW! Can't say enough about this wonderful day and tour! Started early with a small group of 7 of us and the most terrific, friendly and enthusiastic guide, "Lea" that I've ever met!! She gets a top 5 STARS for her guiding, driving, and enthusiasm! Loved her as our guide and interpreter! Had a great visit to the cathedral, then onward to a small champagne private family business tour. My favorite part today was this particular 1 hour tour. The owner (with Lea's translating) explained the champagne business from start to end and a tour of the facility. We also had 3 wonderful full glasses of his vineyards' vintage. We all thought his was better than the later Moet & Chandon' really expensive' champagne. Onward driving through lovely small villages to Eperney, 'home' of the 18 mile underground location of M&C " most expensive avenue in the world" -- the Champagne tour. Drive back to Paris was delightful. A superb tour from beginning to end! Highly recommend this tour to get into the French countryside and champagne area. Thanks Lea and Blue Fox Travel!

A Fabulous Day

As my title suggests we had a fabulous day with Olivia as our wonderful guide. Really loved our visit to Pierre Domi where our host was very informative and ever so friendly not to mention generous with his beautiful champagne for tasting. The Cathedral is truly worth the visit and of course Moët and Chandon was wonderful. Definitely a must to do and you may get lucky and have Olivia as your guide.
