Overview

The Musée du Louvre, perhaps the most famous art museum in the world, as well as the biggest, can be overwhelming for both first-time and repeat visitors, with its maze of galleries and thousands of works. Take the stress out of navigating the museum on your own by booking a private tour with a guide, who can show you the most impressive pieces of art. Entrance fee is not included, but skip-the-line access is provided with your guide.
  • Narrated tour of the Louvre
  • See three of the museum's most famous works—Venus de Milo, Mona Lisa, and Nike of Samothrace—as well as other paintings and sculptures
  • Enjoy the convenience and efficiency of a private guide to show you around so you don't lose time getting lost
  • Receive skip-the-line access
Meet your private guide at the Louvre pyramid to begin your tour of the museum, which houses masterpieces from around the world, spanning centuries.

After entering the museum with skip-the-line privileges (entrance fee at your own expense), your guide shows the top pieces of art, including Venus de Milo, Mona Lisa, and Nike of Samothrace, as well as other works such as paintings by Delacroix, sculptures by Michelangelo, and The Coronation of Napoleon by Jacques-Louis David. In addition to artwork, you'll also have the chance to see valuable artifacts like the French crown jewels.

At the end of your guided tour, you may stay at the museum as long as you wish to continue exploring independently.

Paola was a wonderful tour guide and selected the most important points at the Louvre to maximize our time. Honestly, it would probably take days to really see everything! An hour and a half was a good start as she explained the layout and how exhibits were organized. Her English was perfect and she was extremely knowledgeable about the various art pieces. The Skip the Line option was a must do! The line to this place goes for blocks!

Tour guide Paola Perezpriego was very knowledgeable about the Louvre and art history.. She was very enthusiastic about the subject and clearly carried that over into her presentation. The small number of tourists (4), provided a much more intimate gathering, and was able to quickly escape the crowds.

While I've been to the Louvre many times, this was my first private tour, and it was well worth it. Our guide, Hugo, was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, with a good sense of humor. I would definitely recommend this tour, with Hugo as your guide.

I had an amazing private tour with Hugo at the Louvre! He is a French Art enthusiast and PhD student with a wealth of knowledge about the Louvre. He explained so many of the exhbits in detail with a bit of humor. He made sure to give us time to enjoy the exhibits without being rushed and made the tour interesting by asking questions and making us think. I highly recommend seeing the Louvre with a tour guide and hopefully you will be lucky enough to get Hugo as your guide!

This was a wonderful experience. Our guide Sara was very informative and gave us an experience in the Louvre that we would not have had experiencing it on our own. Her knowledge and passion for the pieces of artwork and sculptures was all anyone could ask for out of a guide. Anyone wanting a great personal experience in the Louvre should definitely book this tour.

Our guide was excellent, pleasant and very knowledgeable. This is the way to see the Louvre, rather than stumbling through and trying to do it all on your own. I highly recommend this tour. Sharon C.

Our guide Sara was fantastic! So knowledgeable and efficient with the tour of such an overwhelming museum. I felt like we took one tiny bite out of all of the sites but she gave us a great start. Very timely also, and professional.
