Our tour guide, Hamish, was great! It was a cold and misty day, but his tour made the experience enjoyable, despite the weather.

We really enjoyed the tour at Père Lachaise cemetery. The commentary and stories were very informative! We learned so much we never knew or would have learned on our own. Highly recommend!

An informative visit. Hamish was a delightful tour guide who paced the visit beautifully and did not overload us with too much information.

Tour guide left without us

Unfortunately the tour guide left without us, so we didn’t get to attend the tour at all. Admittedly, we were late by 5 minutes, and when we arrived the group had left without 6 of its members.after realising this, we quickly phoned the tour agency, and asked if we could meet the guide in the cemetery, but they said they could not provide any information on where the group will be in the cemetery, nor a phone number to contact the guide directly to arrange a meeting point. I was extremely disappointed, as this is something I’ve looked forward to for a while. We paid £17 each for the tickets, and would ideally want a refund.

We were 6 minutes late in...

We were 6 minutes late in meeting our guide and she was gone. We were from out of the country and had difficulty calling. I know the policy is no refund, but we thought they would wait a bit. No one else was on the tour. We were on yours where the guide waited at least 10 min. past for other tourists. Very disappointed

Victoire was a great guide, starting with the history of burial customs in France and going through the creation of Pere Lachaise put everything in good perspective. We enjoyed her commentary about each of the gravesites we visited and she pointed out other artistic and interesting graves. Questions were encouraged and thoroughly answered and the tour was time well spent.
