A very enjoyable day
Trudi_K
, Jan 2022
Enrique was a very knowledgeable guide. He answered all our questions and had a very positive attitude. We especially enjoyed our picnic at his 'secret' spot and watching a ship transit the lock at Agua Clara. He was amazingly adept at spotting wildlife, especially that sloth! If you go, beware of pickpocket monkeys at Monkey Island LOL

Différent impressions of Panama

We especially liked the boat tour, seeing lots of monkeys. We also liked Fort San Lorenzo (magnificent views at the Caribbean and the mouth of Rio Chagres) and the giant Agua Clara Locks. Guide and driver did a very good job.

More than just Miraflores
LIGIA_C
, Jan 2022
Love this other view of the canal. We visit Miraflores the day before. But we didn’t know that the canal has another entrance that is Aguas Claras, and it was super interesting. We can see the Caribbean sea and the new docks. And after that we visit the Unesco Heritage Fort of San Lorenzo. Our guide John was super informed and very nice. The driver was great too.

Best way to experience The Panama Canal
Emily_M
, Jan 2022
This tour is a great way to see the Caribbean side of the canal and beyond! You will see plenty of wildlife, beautiful views of the water, and forts that protected the entrances over the years. Our guide John was just so full of interesting facts about the area and he was able to keep all the teenagers on the tour engaged. Truly impressive!

A wonderful day in Panama

The pickup was punctual and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. There was no hurrying at the sites and he made sure that we saw the monkeys and bird species. The picnic lunch was a nice touch. I would recommend having some juice as an option rather than just water.

FRAUD
Murphy_H
, Jan 2022
I had a bad experience. I feel like they have stolen in the face. They charged me 150 USD per person, for a total of 1200 USD (x8) and at lunch they give me a sandwich with water, that is not from a serious company. FRAUD This tour can easily cost 60 USD or less

Very pleasant Christmas Day trip with a knowledgeable tour guide. Christmas Day Lunch overlooking the Chagres River from the old Spanish For of San Lorenzo Fort was delightful.

Worth joining

Meeting with animals are always something that stayes in your memory, and we had several. In general, the tour covered major parts of "what's to do and see in Panama and thus we were glad this was the tour we chose. The Canal from inside and from shore, jungle, animals, the Atlantic and the Pacific, history and a good guide. If anything was missing it would have been a stop on the way back- for a cup of coffee or just the rest rooms. :-)

Nov 2021 UPDATE - Much improved tour
BryanR_C
, Nov 2021
Nov 2021 UPDATE - Much improved tour compared to past reviews TLDR: Great tour, Good Lunch, Reduced driving time due to new Suspension Bridge and newly paved roads A true Coast to Coast experience expedited by improved roads and infrastructure. We had a medium size group of 8 kind and generous international tourists all sharing insights about homeland and other travel experiences. Tour staff includes a dedicated Driver and Tour Guide Specialist. Our Guide, John Acosta, truly loves his country and provided a deep, thoughtful and often comedic review of Panama past & present. Wise beyond his years and was the true star of the show. I don't believe any leg of the tour required more than 1 hour on the road, but John's commentary made the time fly by. Monkeys were adorable (boat ride only, no island walking), Channel Locks were educational (30 min, no rush, Gift shop), Fort Tour was informative and Lunch was a large Turkey/Cheese/Avocado sandwich with all the fixings, chips and fresh Pineapple for desert. Cold Water included throughout tour. Pickups were pre-7am and we had bathroom break and mini-mart by ~9:30am. This allowed for cooler temperatures and we were ahead of other tours for a more intimate experience. Home by ~2:30pm (downtown). Customer service of Viator (PC Chat) and Panama Day Trips (WhatsApp) was exceptional in accommodating a single traveler. I wouldn't change a thing !
