Avoid booking through 3rd party for almost double the price RIPOFF!!
Yuanle_L
, Jul 2022
First time posting review, such a ripoff. You can most definitely get slots reserving at the window. I knew this vendor charged a brokerage fee, but didn’t know how much. I paid 204 per person for this(5 dollars service fee at the window), the actual site only charges 120(need to be cash) for prime time! That’s more than 67% the original price!!! Please avoid booking here!! It really left a bad taste in your mouth knowing you’ve been taken advantage of. The place itself was good, guide was great(not related to this 3rd party at all), but it does feel a little rushed cuz you have another group coming behind you. Whole tour took 30 mins-40 mins
good trip

Our guide, Ty, was SO nice and patient with us throughout the tour. He taught us how to set the camera, show us where to stand, and took many photos of our group. We have some amazing photos from this tour that we will treasure them forever! This tour was expensive, but was worth every penny. We would definitely recommend this tour to others. It truly was an amazing experience.

Dear customer, Thanks for your feedback and we are sorry to receive this comment. Our price details are disclosed on the page. This includes: Navajo Nation Permit Fee, Navajo Sales Tax and Booking Brokerage Fee. Window prices also need to pay these two fees. We just have an extra Brokerage Fee, but it lets you plan your trip and time better in advance.
As is known to all, Antelope Canyon is a very popular attraction. Its tickets are often sold out a month in advance. So we believe that buying tickets in advance is one of the best choices during the trip.

Upper Antelope was very pretty. Roger, our tour guide, made it fun and interesting as we walked through to learn the history of each section. He even has great photo ideas on how to capture its beauty! Even signing us a song to listen through the Canyons. Thanks again Roger for everything!!
This site rip u off. Primetime is is a lie

I spend $199 per person from YOUR site. For your so called 'prime time' @120 pm to c the beam of light. What a lier! This is completely BS. The tour guide say it can only be soon before noon!!!!!! Why the hell should I pay extra for a regular tour??? I should get a$50 per person refund!!!!!
Response from Host , Jun 2022
Dear customer, thanks for your feedback and we are sorry that we received these reviews. As we know, the Antelope Canyon is a very popular attraction. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., this is the best time for sunlight, especially in summer. But occasionally cloudy days are possible, which we can't anticipate. We are very sorry and wish you a pleasant journey!
The best,
Very disappointed

Worst tour we've been on, the upper canyon was beautiful but it's only 300 feet long, the only reason it took an hour to go through was because you were waiting on the tour before you to take their pictures, our guide did not speak other than to tell you to take a picture here or take a picture there or to tell you to get your mask up, very disappointed for the price we paid.... This would be a great $50 trip for 2

Buy tickets there 👍

Do yourself a favor- buy your tickets day of and just show up to the Navajo Antelope Tour location. It’s $120 for Upper Antelope Canyon when you purchase tickets there, rather than $199 when you purchase through Viator online. You can always leave and come back if tickets aren’t available for the first time slot. If you purchase online you have to pay a $3 service fee when you arrive as well (cash only). Also they require masks for the entire tour and will yell at you if you remove them. Bring water. I wish that for such a large amount of money, for only 30 min in the actual canyon, they would separate the tours out so you’re not jammed one on top of the other and it felt like more of a private tour. It’s also so quick that it’s hard to enjoy the canyon and also take any photos you want. Just seems like this should be slower, more personalized and they should spread out the time the tours enter the canyon. I will say our guide had a lot of knowledge and knew all the great spots to photograph. He was great.

The tour guide, Roger, gave us a lot of information about the meaning and use of the Antelope Canyon by the Navajos. He was very knowledgeable about how to get the best photos of the interior of the canyon. We enjoyed the tour immensely and would do the exact same tour again as there is so much to take in.

Very disappoint, if you can't book the 11 am tour, do not go
If you are two person, you can just walk in and buy a ticket, much cheaper than you book on line, $70 cheaper per person

Wyatt was wonderful as a tour guide. Not only did he share stories about the history and culture, he made sure we all took phenomenal photos. He even took our cameras to help us get the best shot. I appreciated how warm and helpful he was- he was proud of the Canyon and wanted to make sure our memories were as magnificent as our experiences.
We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
