Gabby was a great guide, she explained the history of the canyon and the best modern spots for photos. My kids had no problem getting around, but I would caution older folks with bad knees or balance issues. Thanks Gabby and Dixie!

Highly disappointed after years of anticipation

Negative: Staff we encountered were extremely rude, on both upper and lower canyon tours we went on. I have several examples but will keep this short. Don't visit these canyons if you are unable to wear or against the mask policy. They say it's mandated but if it slips below your nose at all they will threaten to kick you off the tour. You cannot take it down or off for any photo or when walking outside, not for a second, or you will be removed without a refund. They focus more on that than anything with the tour. For the money you pay and travel there, it was extremely frustrating. Everyone we met on the tour agreed so it's not just my opinion. They also do not accept medical exemptions, so know that before booking. I respect rules, but when they are rude and looking for people to yell at, I really have no use for businesses like that. Had I known this is how the whole experience would have been, I would have waited until the mandates were lifted or done something else. Positive: Canyons we're pretty and the guide was good for pointing out good photo spots in the rock formations. One canyon would have been enough, we preferred the lower one. Overall, the price wasn't worth what we got, which was sadly more aggrevation than fun.

If it was the only place I saw after driving from NYC it would be worth it.

The highlight of my 3 week trip. I had seen pictures but they don’t do it justice. When you descend the ladder you are exposed to a truly magical place. The change of color as the light enters, the never ending curves. I was annoyed at first having to wear a mask but I honestly forgot all about with the splendor of this canyon. The Guide was great and helped with the History.

The Canyon was beautiful. It is a little thight in places and you will have to climb/decend by ladders. The tour is timed so take pictures quickly. There's lots of pictures to be taken. Don't forget to look backwards. We had another person in our group purchase tickets directly from Dixie Ellis' tours and paid halve what we did going through Vaitor. So surprised of the big difference in price!

Our whole family really enjoyed the experience. Our guide Jerry was wonderful. He told us about the history of the canyon and showed us amazing photos opportunities as well as offered to snap pictures of our family. I would recommend going early as we did to get the best shots. Our tour left at 9:15. Ask for Jerry if you can. He rocks!!!
