Three generations completed this tour [ages 72, 46 and 10]. We all loved it! Chief is very engaging and passionate and he shares his excitement throughout the tour. We highly recommend this tour for all ages!

Absolutely worth the time and money! Such a wonderful history lesson with passion and love for his town, Chief have an amazing tour. Was waiting and ready for us. This tour is great for any age, as he adapts to those on tour at the time. Places to rest along the way if needed and plenty of photo ops. Can't believe how much we learned!

I expect a tour guide to be knowledgeable and able to answer basic questions. Chief exceeded expectations in history, science, local political/sociological issues and far reaching impact of this unique area of our country. What really set the experience apart was his enthusiastic love for this town, region, and country. He told us the tour was an hour and a half, longer if we had more questions. Our group had shrunk from 10 to 2 because of the threat of inclement weather which never materialized. Chief gave us over 2 hours and seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. We strongly recommend the tour to anyone.

It was lovely to have a someone with such a personal connection to Manteo. His passion and knowledge are all you need to scratch into the amazing history of this area. I love history and I would pay good money to know everything that he knows! The tour was stroller accessible (even though the baby talked over him the whole time… sorry friends), and my 9 year old didn’t have any trouble keeping up with the pace or conversation. He is charismatic and welcoming and exudes every bit of warmth that the outer banks has to offer. Thank you again for showing us the ropes!!!!
