Opening hours

Everything was very satisfactory except opening hours which were not mirroring the same information as written in booklet to the pass. If you are traveling 15 bus stops to museum which should be open at 11:00 in winter and than is open from 12:00am or in another case not on Friday, it’s quite difference. But Oslo is beautiful and pass was definitely value for money:)

Public Transportation a real plus for the Oslo Pass
marilynmca
, Oct 2019
The main reason we purchased the Oslo Pass was for the public transportation. This was truly a blessing, getting around the city. It would have been great if there could have been some "tourist" kind of map that interlinked the trams, trains and buses and their various stops. The route maps seem to be designed for locals rather than tourists. The stops were hard to find using google maps and we did a lot of extra walking not knowing were the stops were precisely. If public transportation is provided with the Oslo Pass, then a special Route Map should be generated for Tourists, who are not familiar with the city.

Great deal

I am usually skeptical of these passes but we were able to use it for the boat ride to the Fram, Maritime and Kon Tiki museums along with the Cultural Center. This was exceptional!! We also used it to ride the tram a few times which was so easy to get around Oslo with. Definitely got our money’s worth.

Don't bother.

So many attractions in Oslo are free, so this card is not worth the price unless you do some major planning to arrange your time to focus on card-specific locations. Also, do not order ahead of time, as the pick-up location is only open certain hours beside the train station.

Good handy instrument in a generally expensive city

Since the Oslo Pass lets you ride on virtually all public transport its pretty good. Also, there are all those museums to which you have free entry. Might be a slight bother picking up the pass. If only this could be e mailed.

Attention: Fake!

This mobile pass is not recognised in the museums or in the public transport in Oslo. It can be exchanged for paper tickets from the tourist office which is only one in the city and with limited opening hours. We had to buy a new real pass from a local museum.

The pass is very convenient and easy to use. The only issue is the redemption office only open up to 6:00p.m. If you arrive late, you have to wait for the next day.

Unfortunately you cannot download the pass - you have to go and pick it up in person. I tried to cancel the order but couldn’t. Totally not worth it.

Pass is useful, but buying it online...

Pass is useful, but buying it online and being forced to search for the tourist center and to wait half an hour to collect it physically - is not very efficient and convenient.
