Gaze out at the wooded hills that ring the city, passing through sheltered sounds and winding around small islands speckled with summer vacation homes. Lear about the area—its history and geography—from your onboard guide as you cruise.

Oslo Fjord
Oslo is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord (Oslofjorden in Norwegian) and is surrounded by forested hills. It’s a stunning city, and the best way to appreciate its beauty is on a relaxing sightseeing cruise. On this two-hour tour, discover the scenery from a sightseeing boat. You’ll sail past numerous islands, including Hovedøya and the Dyna Lighthouse, through narrow inlets and into sheltered bays so that you can capture the capital on camera from different angles. We will pass the Opera House in Oslo, housing The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet ensemble. The spot has been named Kirsten Flagstads place 1 after the opera's first director Kirsten Flagstad place 1 after the opera's first director Kirsten Flagstad. It was designed by the architectural firm Snøhetta AS, which won an architectural competition in 2000.  A choice of seven departure times gives you excellent flexibility and allows you to easily fit this tour into your Oslo vacation. Cancelled

Cancelled on the morning without any explanation being offered: extremely disappointed. Expected to be told why. Would give no stars if that were possible.

Hi. Sorry for the lack of information. We understand your disappointment. Thanks for letting us know! Did you already have a ticket? There has been, due to COVID | Corona at times very few reservations. When there are no reservations we choose to cancel. Navigating through this season has been at times trying. We hope for your understanding - and we do understand the lack of stars. Crossing over into new times we strive to do better. Communicating reasons for our passengers about cancellation should be easy to start with. Best regards - and again very sorry!

Chilly Oslo

The Fjord Sightseeing Cruise was on a large, comfortable boat and would have been a fabulous tour if it hadn't been so cold and rainy. The crew provided us with blankets and warm drinks were available. In spite of the weather, we enjoyed ourselves and discovered this fjord is unlike any other. I would recommend it.

Not a whole lot to see here...

This cruise was just ok. We lucked out and had great weather. The narrations are pre-recorded, so it is not a live tour. You go VERY slowly, and since there isn't really much to point out, they play classical music between narrations and it WILL rock you to sleep. :) If the cruise went slightly faster, you could easily get this done in an hour. Also, this is not a "fjord" like you see in brochures. This is Oslo, so you're not seeing super high cliffs beside you. (Head elsewhere in Norway to see that beauty!) You'll see summer homes, and other landmarks, but nothing earth-shattering. The cruise was prompt--started and ended very timely.

Thanks for sharing. I guess it depends on who is looking? If you expect high rise mountains and cliffs, waterfalls and glaciers - The Oslofjord is not the right destination. The inner part of the Oslofjord is sheltered waters and the "speed" limit will dictate how fast we sail. :) Im guessing you were expecting something else than what the tour offers? Again thanks for sharing :)

We really enjoyed our two hour trip. It's a good thing to do on day 1 as lots of important areas are pointed out to reference back to during your trip. It was absolutely freezing when we went, but we were all provided with blankets which were really well received by everyone. The hot chocolate on board is great too!

I loved this cruise; the sights and the whole feeling of it is just so lovely. I booked with Viator because of their cancellation policy and it was so easy, including the instructions for the cruise. Definitely worth the price!

A great quick trip around the Oslofjord!

If you're in Oslo, and looking to see the fjord in a two-hour boat tour, departing from and arriving back right at the central dock, this is absolutely what you should do! A gorgeous boat with a courteous crew (snacks and drinks available on the boat as well), and a nice route. A suitable amount of commentary (in English), but not too much, a great balance between letting you take things in yourself and explaining some interesting landmarks and buildings.

Enjoyed an informative ride through the Oslofjord.

We had a peaceful ride around the fjords with some informative narrations about the sites. The boat had plenty of room, the staff was friendly, and it lasted exactly two hours. They have some refreshments available but they are a bit pricey. We enjoyed the excursion and would recommend it to others.
