Great musical and dance history of the Pacific islanders! Food was tasty and plentiful. Staff went out of their way to assist those with mobility impairments.

The family atmosphere was the best part. All the family members had multiple jobs - demonstrations of Polynesian crafts and cooking methods, taking tickets and bartending, greeting and seating and it culminates with a carefully choreographed and dramatic music and Polynesian dance show. Friendly, family-centered, interesting, and often fascinating. The tropical setting, access to a large, open area for children, the beauty of the Hawaiian evening - Superb!

TOA Luau is a most

Toa Luau was the best thing we have done so far while in Ohau. I booked for my four teens, they are hard to please but they loved the Luau, hands on activities, food was great. Teens got seconds of the pork and chicken served, it was really good. I am in love with Polynesian culture after leaving the Luau. We had a great time, it’s a family run. This family welcomes you and makes you feel part of the family. I highly recommend it if you are in ohau, TOA LuAu is a most attend activity. I also brought my 6 year old and 10 year old, they had a great time all they do is talk about the dances and fire show.

A fantastic evening!

This luau was done on a very small scale. It felt very intimate and personal. What made it especially fabulous was the fact that it's on the grounds of Waimea Valley (sp?). This is not a valley in the sense of just a geographical term. It is a valley in that it comprises an entire massive botanical garden, a waterfall, etc in addition to the luau. It's a must to get there at least 2 hours in advance because there is so much to see because the grounds surrounding this luau are absolutely stunning. The people who ran this show were fantastic. I was there by myself because I had a friend who cancelled the day before, and they were very cognizant of that and continued to check in on me to make sure everything was okay. It was no fault of theirs, but a little awkward for me being a single at a table by myself because it was very family-oriented, but so sweet that they constantly looked after me, from the nice bartender, to the performers, to the waitstaff...they all were fabulous! It was our last night in Hawaii after two weeks worth of wonderful experiences, and because I had these reservations for months I was insistent on going, even if it meant by myself. They were so caring and kind in trying to make me comfortable. Just a suggestion, but there are many solo travelers. Maybe they could designate one table as a singles table and an option when booking so people can meet others? Before the show there were a variety of stations that adults and kids alike could participate in such as peeling yams, cracking coconuts, cooking hot chocolate, weaving palms, or watching them set up a stone fire, among other things. Once everybody participated in all these offerings we then went in for a brief introduction and pre-show and then dinner. The dinner was phenomenal... BBQ pork, chicken, a very garlicky macaroni salad that was to die for, rice, fresh fruit, coconut cake from Ted's bakery etc etc. The show that followed was fabulous, but again it was a smaller and much more intimate scale. The emcee had a fantastic sense of humor. That being said, when I envision luaus I envision massive stages with dozens of performers and hundreds in attendance, and that is not the case here. It's not a bad thing it wasn't that way, it just wasn't what I had envisioned. You are ohana here. The performers were fabulous!

I took my 4 daughters and 3 friends to their first luau. It was amazing! Cousin Billy went out of his way to take care of us. I am on a special diet and they make food for me. Food was delicious and the pre-show and show were excellent! Thank you for a great night out!

Simply Mesmerizing!

I have waited all my life to visit Hawaii, and this luau was one of the top experiences of our stay! I came with my adult daughters, and the whole family cultural experience was a beautiful journey through Polynesian history that we basked in all the way back to our stay in Waikiki on the other side of the island. It was well worth the money, the time and the drive to meet Cousin Eddie and the whole family who were most gracious and entertaining. The hands-on activities and rich storytelling mingled with cultural pride and spontaneous humor were so mesmerizing and engaging that connected all the guests into one blended family. Of course the food and entertainment were fantastic and abundant in both regards. We hated to see the night end, but captured every moment to bring back home with us.

Awesome night of fun!

We had such a great time at Toa Luau! The people were super nice and friendly. The activities before the show were educational but fun. My kids really enjoyed them also. The food was great. The show was awesome and the host was so funny. They worked for 4 hours straight greeting us, teaching us, serving us and entertaining us and were still very open to taking pictures and talking after. Super family activity. Would recommend it to everyone! This luau also includes a tour of botannical gardens and walk to a waterfall where you can swim at the base. My only criticism is with viator because the time said departure time so we thought we had to travel some where which you didn't. It should say check time. Another criticism with viator was that we didn't know that the botannical gardens and waterfall could happen before out luau so we are going to go back today since it was 9 p.m. when our luau was done and we couldn't do it after. All in all though, this was a wonderful experience and we would go back again.
