Not good to learn

We had great adventures all week which we scheduled through Viator. This adventure, though, was awful. The company rescheduled our appointment from 11 to 1 then when we showed up they were not ready for us and we didn't get to the lesson until 130. However, the 1.5 hour "lesson" ended at 230. The instructor was disorganized and consistently agitated. Our initial instruction was "here is the board get on it". Luckily I got up on my knees on the first try and once I got going the instructor said "ok let me go get my board" and left me on my board while he went to get his board. I will leave this with this turned into an utter catastrophe where I got swept into the undertow of a major swell. After fighting the undertow for five to ten minutes I made it to shore and sat out the rest of the lesson. The inductor and my husband stayed together and out of the undertow for the remainder. My husband never got to his knees but he was never really given a strategy or lesson on how to get up. In all honesty you would be better served watching YouTube videos before coming to Hawaii then going out on your own. Or if you already know how to paddlebosrd maybe you can fine tune your skills but I would definitely not do this to learn. I heard very similar stories regarding this instructor.

We decided to take a paddleboard lesson on the last day of our holidays. We are not Adrenalin Junkies so this was out of our normal activities. Chris made us feel safe and well looked after, he gave us a wonderful morning full of fun and amazing experience, we will always treasure treasure the memory of.
