Excellent guide painted a vivid picture of DDay

The tour guide was fantastic. He had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Normandy Beaches and DDay but better than that he really painted a picture of the unfolding events and the small details that made it such a human story set amid the huge political and military drama. The area is huge and the remains are scattered so I would highly recommend this tour guide. For my son and I it was an forgettable experience. It really does justice to the incredible bravery of those days. Thank you.

There were four of us in our group and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. We took a half day tour and we were all wishing we had taken a full day tour.

We did a half-day Omaha Beach guided tour on a Sunday morning. This was the shorter of the two offerings that day, but it did not suffer for it. Our guide, Kate, was exceedingly well-informed and guided the group professionally. The minibus was fine for the job and comfortable. If you're looking for a short tour like this I would certainly recommend it, and if you can get Kate as your guide you'll end the morning having thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

A moving family trip

We booked the trip so that my father, a WW2 vet of the battle of the Bulge, could return to Omaha Beach, where he landed as a 19-year old soldier in October of 1944. Our guide was Phillip, and he had a wealth of knowledge, and we enjoyed his British humor. This was a great trip for my family as it would have been difficult for my dad to make the journey on his own. I know that this excursion was very important for my dad and our family. There is nothing like seeing the beaches in person, and giving thanks to the soldiers who served and sacrificed. This word is so overused, but this is one time I can truly say that the experience was awesome, in the original sense. As my dad said, it was a miracle that DDay was successful and another miracle that the battle in the Ardennes Forest ended in victory for the Allies. It helped me appreciate my father and the memories he kept to himself for many years.

We purchased a 1/2 day tour for 8/06/18 which was very good. We also booked what I thought was a different 1/2 tour for 8/07/18 according to the tour # and description; which I tried to verify by phone, but your sales represented in "India" knew less about the tour in "Normandy" than I did. We checked with the tour guide at the end my first tour and he stated that the two tours were identical. Thus, we did not take the and tour and wasted $175.00, which was truly disappointing.
