Don't Use

Don't use "New York City Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour". Waste of money. If not many people in the bus, drivers are advised to wait until the bus is reasonably filled. Don't rely on time table. Not all buses are available with guides.
Too many issues

From 45+ min waits to no AC on a hot and humid day we were very disappointed. Multiple buses didn’t have audio, tour guides were very hit or miss and we lost a ton of time waiting for buses.
tecnical difficulty rendered the e ticket useless and prevented us from getting to the Statue of Liberty

We could not board the bus with the e ticket, this delayed our arrival to Battery Park and we were unable to board the ferry. the entire exercise was a waste of time and money.

The QR code provided did not allow us to board. Fortunately the kind driver did let us get on to go to the next stop, near their offices. We waited a very long time for buses, and saw so many others from other companies go by. We finally got our bus, and the guide was dry and boring, and even rude to some riders.

Overall it was nice to see but Brooklyn and Harlem tour was not what was expected. I thought we will see actual historical places. Tour guides for Brooklyn was great but Harlem guide was not so great
Ticket process - disappointing

The website states that you can redeem your printed or e-voucher at any stop. That is not correct. I had to walk several blocks to redeem my families voucher prior to us getting on the bus. I have done several hop on hop off tours around the world and this is the first one that I had such difficulty using our vouchers. I don't think I will use this company the next time I visit New York City.
It's a grab bag that depends a lot on your tour guide

The tour guides on these buses are all passionate about something; how much we get out of the tour, how much we rappreciate, depends on the degree that their tastes coincide with ours. We had three. One was very knowledgable about NYC architecture, one about history, with anecdotes about famous people that went with the places we saw; one seemed to want to give us a perspective based on living in New York. We got caught in heavy traffic with him and he only talked about people leaving in the Holland Tunnel for the weekend instead of telling us interesting stories like the second guide would have.
LESS than satisfied!

Waited over 20 mins for a bus when other bus companies arrived multiple times. Was NOT made aware that headphones were required for the tour!!! Meaning we got nothing but a ride!

Taking the hop on and off, with ferry to Statue of Liberty was the perfect way for us to take our teenage granddaughter on a day trip to NYC for the first time. She got a feel for the city and saw many NY icons. My only suggestion would be to advise tourists that the
Insightful tour if not pressed for time

We managed to take in 1/2 of the tour. In the morning we completed the first part of the tour, and hopped off in Battery Park so we could tour the Statue of Liberty. The piece that we completed was well done. Even learned a few new things about NYC (we visit about once a year). After that we walked over to South St Seaport, had some lunch and shopped. Unfortunately, a mostly full bus arrived and we were unable to board. Waiting 20-25 min in hopes of an empty bus wasn't in the cards so we took the subway back to Times Square. We only have 3 hours until our train left so we didn't want to chance it. If you have the time, I think it would be good to complete the entire tour. Not sure how well the
