I've been to Chinatown a bunch of times, but I learned a lot after doing this tour with tour guide Richard. He really gave out some unique facts and secrets about Chinatown and Little Italy. The stories he told were brought to life thanks to help of some big posters he had in his bag. They really helped to tell the story and make us feel like we are walking in time.

This was a fun and educational tour. As long as you are up for walking, it is a wonderful way to see how the melting pot of NYC began. At each stop, our tour guide Frank, had excellent photos of the area in the early 1900's. This had to be the best part of the tour. Viewing how a street looked back when immigrants arrived, made you feel as though you were there back then. The tour includes walking down many of the side streets in lower Manhattan. Most often if you walked through these streets, you would not realize the history of them. You learn about how the the people lived back in the early 1900's and what the tenement buildings were actually like. Great tour.
